White Desert. Massive white limestone rock formations mushroom in the area, rising out of the sand dunes in fascinating shapes.

Today's highlights include a visit to the remains of the
Temple of Alexander the Great before your drive to Cairo.
Day 8
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, exhibiting over
120,000 objects. Later, explore the pyramids of Giza.
Day 9
Enjoy one of the most recognizable images in the country
as you stand facing the two temples of Abu Simbel founded by
Egypt's longest ruling great pharaoh, King Ramses II.
Day 10
Explore the largest and most completely preserved
Pharaonic temple - albeit Greek-built - in Egypt, the
extraordinary Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Day 11
Experience the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead
where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks. Visit
the Valley of the Queens, known in Egypt as "Biban El Harim," and
the Temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt's first female pharaoh.
Day 12
Spend your day visiting Coptic Cairo, including the newly
renovated Coptic Museum, followed by a tour of Islamic Cairo.
