ITINERARY

Days 1-3: Oslo
Travel by train to Bergen for three nights at the stylish First Hotel Marin. Wander through the colorful Fish Market, the 13th-century Bergen Fortress and Bryggens Museum. Take in the beautiful scenery as you cruise along the Sognefjord and take the renowned Fl?m Railway to Myrdal. During your short rail journey, climb 2,850 feet up a steep mountain gorge to enjoy spectacular panoramic views.

Days 4-6: Bergen
Fly to Stockholm for three nights at the elegant Grand H?tel. A full day of exploring includes Gamla Stan (the Old Town). Also visit the Blue Hall, the Royal Palace and the National Museum. Travel to the island of Djurgarden to see the nearly 400-year-old Vasa warship, discovered intact at the bottom of the harbor. Then wander through the Skansen Open-Air Museum, a full replica of an average 19th-century town. Watch as craftsmen (tanners, shoemakers, silversmiths, bakers and glass-blowers) wearing traditional dress demonstrate these old-world skills. A half-day journey takes you across the archipelago to Drottningholm Palace, which is home to the Swedish royal family.

Days 7-9: Stockholm
Fly to Copenhagen for three nights at the Hotel d'Angleterre. Sightseeing includes Amalienborg Palace, Rosenborg Palace, Tivoli, the famous Little Mermaid and Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. You have a full day to explore the picturesque Danish countryside of North Zealand, where you visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Kronborg Castle and Frederiksborg Castle.

Days 10-12: Copenhagen
Transfer to the airport.
