ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Bangkok, Thailand
Arrive in Bangkok, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Bangkok | A City Filled with Life
Today, Ride Like a Local on a tuk-tuk around the sprawling Grand Palace. Explore the ancient Siamese court, home to Thailand’s most important shrine, the green-jade Emerald Buddha. Discover Wat Pho temple, with its massive, gilded Reclining Buddha and listen to the musical sound of coins dropping into brass offering bowls.

Day 3: Luang Prabang, Laos | Buddhist Sites
Fly by private charter aircraft to Luang Prabang, former capital of Laos, known today for its Buddhist temples. See the monasteries of Wat Xiengthong; Wat Khili, with its unusual architecture; and Wat Sene. Visit the Heritage House for a baci ceremony, a traditional ritual of welcome.

Day 4: Luang Prabang | Spiritual Offerings
Join locals as they make food offerings to the monks, then visit the weaving center at Ock Pop Tok. Following lunch, visit local villages en route to Kuang Si Falls, capping the day with a sunset cruise.

Day 5: Luang Prabang/Hanoi, Vietnam | Sacred Hill
Today, enjoy tours of the Royal Palace, Phousi Hill, and the Traditional Art and Ethnology Center. This afternoon, fly by private charter aircraft to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Day 6: Hanoi | Asian Grace and Pace
Visit Ho Chi Minh’s house, and then continue to the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, dating back to the first Vietnamese empire independent from China. Also visit the infamous “Hanoi Hilton” prison, where American prisoners of war were once confined. Later, travel by cyclo as a local would through the Old Quarter.

Day 7: Ha Long Bay | Among the Limestone Islands
Travel overland through the lush Vietnamese countryside to Ha Long Bay, viewing a traditional way of life en route. Board a classic junk (wooden boat) and sail through a verdant setting where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the water. Later, explore a limestone cave, formed out of ancient karsts 700,000 years ago. Spend the night on board.

Day 8: Ha Long Bay/Ho Chi Minh City | Art by Nature
Greet the sunrise with a tai chi lesson on deck of ‘Halong Jasmine.’ Then, relax on a natural white sand beach or climb to a lookout point for breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay. Return overland to Hanoi before flying by private charter to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City | Vibrant, Evocative Saigon
This morning, see the city’s colonial legacy, including the Central Post Office and Cathedral of Notre Dame. This afternoon, visit Quan Am Pagoda and the neighborhood of Cholon, the city’s Chinatown.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City | Cu Chi Tunnels
Travel out of the city and into the countryside to explore the expansive Cu Chi Tunnel network, a key Vietcong resource during the Vietnam War.

Day 11: Siem Reap, Cambodia | Ruins of Angkor Thom
Enjoy a private flight to charming Siem Reap, the town nearest to the ruins of Angkor, and transfer to your hotel. Set off to explore Angkor Thom, a breathtaking expression of Khmer architecture. Visit the Bayon Temple’s hundreds of large-scale faces bearing beguiling smiles, as well as the Elephant and Leper King Terraces.

Day 12: Siem Reap | Temples & Treasures
Journey to Ta Prohm temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then discover the Angkor National Museum, home to golden-era Khmer Kingdom artifacts. Enjoy a lecture by a local expert on the ruins. Visit the Cambodian Clean Water Project, an A&K Philanthropy clean water initiative.

Day 13: Siem Reap | Angkor Wat at Daybreak
Watch the sunrise over the five-point-patterned towers of Angkor Wat. Then, explore the extensive bas-reliefs along its walls and ascend the steps to the highest level of the temple.

Day 14: Bangkok, Thailand | Along the Chao Phraya River
Fly by private charter to Bangkok, Thailand’s lively capital. This afternoon, board a boat to experience life along the Chao Phraya River and its klongs (canals). Later, gather for a special farewell dinner.

Day 15: Depart Bangkok
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to depart for home.
