About the Port
Mykonos rises above its harbor in a tumble of whitewashed cubic houses, blue-shuttered chapels, and bougainvillea-draped lanes, its hilltop windmills standing sentinel over the Aegean as they have for centuries. Hora, the island's capital, wraps around a lively waterfront where fishing boats and yachts share the same quay, backed by tavernas and boutiques that give the island its cosmopolitan reputation among the Cycladic isles.
