About the Port
Punta Pitt sits at the eastern tip of San Cristóbal Island, its layered volcanic tuff cliffs rising above a coastline reachable only by small landing craft. The site is notable as the only place in the Galápagos where all three booby species—blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca—nest within close range of one another, alongside frigatebirds gliding on thermal currents above the cliffs.
Trails wind through dry brush and along a golden-sand beach where sea lions doze undisturbed by passing visitors. Nearby waters offer clear snorkeling among reef fish and playful sea lion pups. As a tender landing with no docks or town nearby, the port rewards travelers prepared for a barefoot, nature-first excursion into one of the archipelago's least developed wildlife outposts.

Hike to the Booby Nesting Cliffs

Snorkel with Sea Lion Pups

Watch Frigatebirds Ride the Thermals
