MS Kong Harald has been upgraded to a greener hybrid ship, featuring large battery packs combined with efficient, brand-new engines. This reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 25 percent. The ship also includes state-of-the-art wastewater treatment equipment and SRC technology, which cuts NOx emissions by at least 80 percent. Additionally, cabins on decks 2 and 3 have been refurbished.<br>Previously, the vessel was refurbished to feature a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. On board, guests can enjoy three different restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna, and a fitness room. Deck amenities include two hot tubs and a comfortable bar at the front of the ship for traditional drinks.

One of the best-known ships, MS Midnatsol is named after the Midnight Sun, the phenomenon that occurs in northern Norway every summer when the sun doesn’t set for 24 hours.<br><br>The décor on board is inspired by Norway’s stunning nature, reflected in many of the pieces of Norwegian modern art on board. The ship is named after the spectacular Trollfjord in Lofoten. Inside she provides spectacular comfort, modern facilities and interior design that makes extensive use of Norwegian wood and stone. The art exhibited aboard ship includes original paintings that were once on board the old Hurtigruten ship, MS Harald Jarl. MS Trollfjord´s sun deck and hot tub are on deck 9. The ship´s spacious, two-story panorama lounge is above the bow. Its wall-to-wall windows bathe the lounge in natural light and provide extraordinary views.
