ITINERARY

Day 1 - Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and enjoy a trip to the Vancouver Lookout on your own. You'll experience a 360-degree view of the city from 553 feet above ground. Your admission is valid for the entire day, so you can visit at any time you like. Overnight Vancouver.

Day 2 - Vancouver To Whistler
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky region. Highlights include Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Mount Garibaldi, and the Cheakamus Canyon. On arrival in Whistler, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Whistler. (B)

Day 3 - Whistler To Quesnel
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Quesnel. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacial-fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Overnight Quesnel. (B, L)

Day 4 - Quesnel To Jasper
Your journey continues to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. Highlights include the Fraser River, the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, at 3,954 meters (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and Yellowhead Pass. Overnight Jasper. (B, L)

Day 5 - Jasper at Leisure
After picking up your rental car, enjoy a day touring Jasper National Park on your own. This 10,878 square kilometer treasure is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. You can choose from a leisurely drive or relaxing hike, or a more adventurous canoe ride or rafting excursion. The park is also home to a wide range of wildlife. Overnight Jasper.

Day 6 - Jasper To Lake Louise
Drive south to Lake Louise via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Allow time to stop at popular natural attractions along the way, including Athabasca Falls, Bow Summit, Peyto Lake and Crowfoot Glacier. With sightseeing stops, allowing at least eight hours for today's drive is recommended. Overnight Lake Louise.

Day 7 - Lake Louise To Banff
Today you have two options to travel from Lake Louise to Banff. You can make a direct one-hour journey and watch for deer and elk crossing the wildlife bridges over the highway. Or if you want to slow down, you can choose the more leisurely drive along the Bow Valley Parkway for views of Castle Mountain and Johnston Canyon (requires a short walk). Overnight Banff.

Day 8 - Banff To Calgary
Travel through Kananaskis Country and the ranching regions of Alberta before arriving in Calgary. Enjoy admission to the Calgary Tower, which rises above the heart of downtown 525 feet in the air and offers a 360-degree view of this bustling city. Overnight Calgary.

Day 9 - Calgary
Drop off your rental car in downtown Calgary or at Calgary International Airport, where your vacation ends.
