ITINERARY

Day: 1
Known as the “City of Angels,” Bangkok remains Southeast Asia’s capital of cool, seamlessly blending modern luxury with vibrant street life. From swanky shopping malls and Michelin-starred dining to wild, anything-goes nightlife and bustling street markets, the city hums with sensory intensity. Amid all this frenetic energy, your riverfront hotel affords an oasis of tranquility.

Day: 2
Visit Bangkok’s iconic Grand Palace and Temples of the Emerald and Reclining Buddhas. Then, explore the city’s markets by tuk tuk and visit the former home of Jim Thompson, the father of Thailand’s silk industry. Alternatively, discover the island of Bang Krachao, a lush oasis of mangroves and historic temples. A Thai cooking class and a river cruise of the waterfront khlongs of Thonburi are also on offer. Reconvene for a sunset cruise, welcome reception and dinner on the Chao Praya River.

Day: 3
Explore Thailand’s deep spiritual roots as you join the Buddhist monks of Wat Yannawa for morning prayer, a blessing ceremony and a guided meditation. Continue to the Sanctuary of Truth, a vast, hand-carved pavilion constructed without a single nail. This temple/castle hybrid celebrates both Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Later, head to the port to board your vessel.

Day: 4
Even in a nation renowned for its island paradises, Ko Kut stands in a class all its own. The finest of powder-white sands, the clearest of crystalline waters and the lushest of tropical backdrops give this untouched island haven the final word in beachfront tranquility. Grab a beach towel and some flip-flops and come and go as you like with tender service running from Crystal Serenity to these virgin shores all day long.

Day: 5
Long known for its prized export of black peppercorns, the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc is gaining newfound fame for its pearlescent beaches and vast biodiversity. Come ashore to explore the island’s distinctive flavors or kayak the Cua Can River.

Day: 6
Today, lounge by the pool, unwind with a cocktail and join A&K’s acclaimed team for enriching onboard presentations.

Day: 7
This buzzing, high-energy city juxtaposes French colonial remnants with the silhouettes of glimmering glass skyscrapers. Explore iconic landmarks such as Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral and learn calligraphy from a local master. Alternatively, delve into the city’s café culture or cruise the Mekong Delta aboard a sampan.

Day: 8
Rise early for a cyclo ride through the streets as the city slowly comes to life, pausing to watch locals practice tai chi in a peaceful park. Or, cruise the Saigon River to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an intricate underground network used by the Viet Cong.

Day: 9
Seize the day with some pickleball, a yoga session, a fitness class or a presentation from the Expedition Team.

Day: 10
Home to opulent mosques, lush rainforests and vibrant cultural festivals, the small sultanate of Brunei lies secluded off the tourist track in the northeastern corner of Borneo. Come ashore in the port of Muara to see the 2,152,782-square-foot home of the Sultan of Brunei and the 29 golden domes of the Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.

Day: 11
Kota Kinabalu’s seafront greets you with rows of fishing boats, tidy resorts and a vast world of biodiversity hidden just beyond. Escape into the cool highlands of Kinabalu Park, plant mangroves on Gaya Island or kayak to nearby Sulug Island.

Day: 12
Today, try something new like shuffleboard on the fantail, a steam in the spa or maybe a hands-on photography class.

Day: 13
The diminutive island of Boracay enchants with its powdery white-sand beaches and vibrant local culture. Experience the best of both with a chef-led market tour and cooking demonstration. Or, explore the Indigenous Aklanon culture at the Motag Living Museum.

Day: 14
Fronting a vast bay on the island of Luzon, this bustling capital mixes soaring skyscrapers with the Spanish colonial remnants of old town Intramuros. While this “Pearl of the Orient” was devastated in World War II and suffered several natural disasters, the city’s resilient people have mounted a renaissance. Take in the city’s iconic sites at Rizal Park, Fort Santiago and San Agustin Church, the country’s oldest structure. A visit to the American War Cemetery is also on offer.

Day: 15
A final day at sea offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on your epic voyage and share stories with newfound friends.

Day: 16
Disembark Crystal Serenity in Hong Kong and catch your homebound flight, or continue on your post-tour extension.
