Explore the geothermal wonders of Rotorua, including Wai-O-Tapu. Visit the Kiwi Encounter, a hatchery/nursery for kiwi birds, before boarding your flight to Christchurch.
Day 3: Taupo/Rotorua/Christchurch
Ride the Tranz Alpine Express train across Canterbury Plains toward
Cass - one of the most picturesque rail experiences in New Zealand.
Day 4: Christchurch/Cass
This morning, enjoy a four-wheel-drive tour of the property and surrounding farmland. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge. Alternatively, visit one of the nearby lakes or rivers and cast a line for the area's legendary trout.

Reboard the Tranz Alpine Express to Greymouth and transfer to Franz Josef, home to a flowing river of ice. Stop en route for a behind-the-scenes tour of a local greenstone gem gallery.

Take off on a heli-glacier flight to Franz Josef Glacier, a relic of the last ice age. Your next spectacle is Lake Moeraki. Today's journey offers amazing scenery from snow-capped peaks on the left and the ocean on the right.
Day 7: Franz Josef/Lake Moeraki
Stand at the shore of serpentine Lake Wakatipu and watch the waters rise and fall - in Maori legend, the heart of a giant beats below. View the stunning scenery throughout Queenstown, a city surrounded by mountains and farmland.
Day 8: Lake Moeraki/Queenstown
This morning, embark on a breathtaking flightseeing tour to Milford Sound. Cruise the majestic fjord, which Rudyard Kipling called the eighth wonder of the world, as you enjoy lunch onboard.
Day 9: Queenstown/Milford Sound/Queenstown
Drive to Glenorchy and experience a jet boat safari on the Dart River. Arrive at "Paradise" for a short bush walk with your guide.
