We thank you most sincerely for your patience and understanding as our world, our country, and our company adapt to the urgent and changing issues confronting us now. Our 2020 Terms & Conditions have evolved as countries close their borders and we contact guests with travel plans for the remainder of the year.

Postponement: Guests may immediately rebook their trip for an alternate date or even another destination for travel anytime in 2021 or 2022.
Price Guarantee: When guests immediately rebook their same program for an alternate date, A+R will guarantee the original 2020 price as long as traveling in the same season for 2021 or 2022.
Travel Credit Voucher: Guests that need extra time to decide on dates or destinations may receive an A+R Travel Credit Voucher for the complete value of their original trip. Vouchers are valid for travel any time in 2021 or 2022.
All African Safaris:
PostponementGuests may immediately rebook their safari for travel within 12 months of the original arrival date. Please note, rebooked African safaris must match the same itinerary as the original booking.
Price Guarantee: When guests immediately rebook their safari for an alternate date, Alexander+Roberts will guarantee the original 2020 price as long as travel remains in the same season for 2021.
Travel Credit Voucher: Guests that need some time to decide on dates may receive a Travel Credit Voucher for the complete amount of their original trip. Vouchers for Africa are valid for travel within 12 months of the original arrival date. Please note, rebooked Africa trips must match the same itinerary as the original booking.
Terms & Conditions for All Destinations: All 2020 postponements and travel credit vouchers are non-transferable and non-refundable. Any unused portions will be kept for future travel credit. Guests are responsible for any additional costs compared to their original trip as relates to the following: 1) seasonal price differences for new dates of travel; 2) price differences of a new program or destination; 3) airfare penalties and/or fare differences; 4) any increases in insurance premiums. These terms are subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time.

Rates
Prices are land only and do not include international airfare to or from the US. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, and prices are subject to change without notice. On-tour transportation is included as indicated on each program. Prices are guaranteed upon receipt of deposit.
Single/solo rates on private tours are based on a minimum of two travelers travelling together. Single/solo travelling alone rates will be higher. Rates on private and independent journeys may vary due to trade fairs, festivals and holidays.
Air
We can book international air for you at an additional cost. If you purchase international airfare, airline taxes, fuel surcharges and government-imposed fees are included; baggage check and seat assignments may cost extra. For information on baggage and seat fees please visit your airline’s website. Within Africa, lower baggage limits apply. Seat assignments are not available on all airlines and are subject to fees and change without notice. Flight schedules, aircraft and seats (even purchased seats) may change without notice. TSA PRE and Online check-in are at the discretion of the airline and cannot be guaranteed. Foreign departure taxes cannot always be prepaid and may be charged at the airport upon departure.

Guest Information
Names provided to secure reservations must match guests’ passport. Middle names are not required to appear on airline tickets. Date of birth and complete passport details are required. Any minor name corrections advised after airline tickets have been issued will incur fees. Not all name corrections will be permitted by airlines and may require the purchase of a new ticket. Documents are sent 21 days prior to departure and cannot be released until full payment and the Guest Information form have been received.
Cancellations & Changes
Alexander+Roberts (A+R) offers a Travel Protection Plan that provides protection for your travel arrangements, your belongings and most importantly, you! We encourage all travelers to purchase a Travel Protection Plan. Click here for information on our Travel Protection Plan.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any departure for any reason.
A minimum of 2 passengers is needed for a guaranteed departure to travel. Our small groups travel with no more than 16 travelers on land. Our small ships carry 44 – 200+ passengers; more than 16 Alexander+Roberts guests may be on-board; more than 16 travelers may be on shore excursions.
Changes To Our Programs
2019 hotels and itineraries may differ from the 2020-2021 programs presented on our website or brochure. We will make every effort to operate tours as disclosed on this website, but circumstances may arise which require modification of itineraries, hotel substitution, changes in transportation, inclusions or staff accompanying the trip. We reserve the right to make modifications. Because waterways can be affected by weather conditions, alternate programs may be arranged by the cruise companies without notice.
On Tour
There is no smoking on any transportation. Disabilities requiring special attention must be reported when making reservations. We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate special needs but cannot provide individual assistance. Tours require walking over uneven surfaces and you assume responsibility for your personal safety. Should issues become apparent on tour that impact other travelers, we may require individual assistance be obtained or require the traveler to return home early. Any expenses for assistance or early return will be the responsibility of the traveler without refund for unused services.
Activities, lodges, and camps may require a signed liability waiver. We are not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, and other independent suppliers.
Visa & Passport Information

A U.S. Passport valid for six months upon return to the U.S. is required of all guests. As passport processing can be unexpectedly delayed, we recommend using Pinnacle Travel Document System for new or renewal applications. It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain their required visas. Visa requirements vary according to the nationality of the passport holder. For travelers who are not citizens of the United States, please consult Pinnacle Travel Document System or the embassy of your destination country for visa requirements. For those who wish complete visa assistance, Pinnacle Travel Document System can provide documentation services. Forms are available at https://www.pinnacletds.com/alexanderroberts. Application timing and processing vary greatly, so please check on-line early for visa requirements.
South Africa requires 3 unused visa pages available in your passport.
Jordanian visas are not issued upon arrival at the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge land border crossing.
Visas secured upon arrival may require that you carry 2 or more passport photos. Please consult your documents before departure.
Please note that visa requirements and charges are subject to change, and should be confirmed at the time of booking. Alexander+Roberts is not responsible for the refusal or delayed processing of visas and passports by Consular offices and normal cancellation charges will apply.
Responsibility
Alexander+Roberts tour services described on this website, including without limitation transportation, lodging, and sightseeing, are provided by the carrier, hoteliers, and other suppliers that are independent contractors and not our agents, employees, partners, or joint venturers. We issue tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents for such services merely as an agent for the companies that furnish such services. Such tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents are subject to all terms and conditions of the respective suppliers (some of them may limit or exclude the supplier’s liability). We are not responsible for any loss of or damage to property or death or injury to persons, resulting from any act or omission of any supplier providing any tour service or any other person or entity or caused by strike, war, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restriction or regulation, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control, including supplier’s decision to withdraw and/or cancel a tour for any reason. The tour participant expressly waives all rights or claims, which he or she may have against us in connection with the foregoing. Under no circumstances are we to be construed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passenger or his or her baggage and belongings. We reserve the right to remove a client from a tour at our sole discretion.
All matters concerning these tours and services shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any unresolved dispute or controversy arising under or in connection with the services we provide shall be settled exclusively by arbitration, conducted before the American Arbitration Association in a venue chosen by Alexander+Roberts, in accordance with the rules of that body then in effect. In addition, the arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to a claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable. The arbitrator shall not have the authority to add to, detract from, or modify any provision hereof nor to award punitive damages. A decision by the arbitrator shall be final and binding. Judgment may be entered on the arbitrator’s award in any court having jurisdiction. Each party shall be responsible for the respective fees and expenses of their legal representation and the costs of arbitration shall be shared equally.
Legal proceedings against Alexander+Roberts may be instituted only in a state or federal court within the State of New Hampshire, and any claim involved in such proceedings shall be decided in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire. Any claim against Alexander+Roberts must be commenced in writing and within one year following the date of tour completion. Neither Alexander+Roberts nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and your payment of a deposit on a tour means that you agree to these conditions of sale and expressly waive any right to punitive damages.
United States Tour Operators Association $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program
Alexander+Roberts, as an Active Member of USTOA, is required to post $1 Million with USTOA to be used to reimburse, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program, the advance payments of Alexander+Roberts customers in the unlikely event of Alexander+Roberts bankruptcy, insolvency or cessation of business. Further, you should understand that the $1 Million posted by Alexander+Roberts may be sufficient to provide only a partial recovery of the advance payments received by Alexander+Roberts.
