About Royal Caribbean
“On a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation, getting from point A to point B is anything but ordinary. Whether it's conquering rock walls, ice-skating in the middle of the Caribbean, or sipping reds and whites in the first wine bar at sea, you've never taken a cruise quite like this before. And you can start your planning right here. Search for a one or two-week cruise adventure or squeeze a rejuvenating weekend getaway cruise into your schedule. You'll also find out about our destinations, our ports, our cruisetours, our cruise ships - everything you need to know to plan an unforgettable cruise vacation.” — Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean International has been delivering innovation at sea since its launch in 1969, when hospitality entrepreneur Ed Stephan and three Norwegian ship owners created a cruise line to sail the Caribbean. More than 100 million guests later, the Miami-based line commands a fleet of 30 ships calling on over 200 ports worldwide — and it has never stopped raising the bar on what a cruise ship can be.
Each generation of ships pushes further. The six Oasis Class ships are engineering wonders filled with first-of-their-kind attractions, while the newest Icon Class — including Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, Legend of the Seas and Hero of the Seas — pairs record-smashing scale with what Royal Caribbean bills as the best family vacation in the world. Expect a Category 6 waterpark, the Crown's Edge experience 154 feet above the waves, and the Ultimate Abyss slide, alongside spectacular dining, entertainment and accommodations.
Ashore, the line's private destinations shine: Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Labadee on Haiti's north coast, and a growing collection of Royal Beach Clubs from Paradise Island to Santorini, Cozumel and Lelepa. Royal Caribbean suits adventurous travelers and multigenerational families who want maximum variety — thrills for the grandkids, quiet retreats and fine dining for the adults — all on one ship.

Smoking on board
Cigarette, cigar, e-cigarette and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas. To assist in locating areas where smoking is permitted, guests will find visible signage posted within all smoking areas and ashtrays that are provided for use. Outdoor areas near restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools will not allow smoking. On Oasis class, smoking is not permitted in Central Park or the Boardwalk neighborhoods.
Casino Royale allows smoking and has a designated area for non-smoking guests. There will be visible signage indicating the non-smoking area in the casino. All cruises departing from China and Hong Kong will not have a non-smoking area in the casino. Smoking is not permitted in the casino for any ships departing from Australia and the United Kingdom.
Onboard all interior public spaces are smoke free*. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, and jogging track.
Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom and any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is in violation of this stateroom policy, a cleaning fee of $250 USD will be applied to their SeaPass® account and may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy.
Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and Cigar Bars**. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess, or use tobacco on sailings beginning in U.S. ports. For sailings beginning in all other ports, the minimum age is 18 years old.
Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.
Traveling with minors
The Company retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age to sail unaccompanied on any sailing when local laws require or permit such a modification.
For voyages originating in North America:
No Guest younger than the age twenty-one (21) will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult twenty-one (21) years old or older. A guest's age is established upon the first date of sailing.
This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms; for underage married couples; and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military.
Certain other restrictions and conditions will apply; such as compliance with the age twenty-one (21) alcohol policy, and proof of marriage for underage couples or proof of active duty military status required.
INFANT POLICY
Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. HOWEVER: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour.
Please be aware that guests travelling with a young infant that does not meet the infant policy will be denied boarding. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an underage infant or other accompanying guests.
Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to ask for proof of age. Royal Caribbean International's age policy for gambling and consumption of alcoholic beverages is as follows: Please note: An individual's age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for their cruise vacation. However, if a guest celebrates their 21st birthday during the cruise, the guest may thereafter ask the Guest Services Manager to modify ship's records to permit their consumption of alcohol during the remainder of the cruise. The guest will be required to appear at Guest Services with his or her parent or guardian and to present a government issued form of identification to establish that the guest's 21st birthday was celebrated during the cruise.
