About Seabourn
“In 1987, Seabourn created a new style of cruising, dedicated to delivering the highest levels of personalized service to an exclusive group of guests aboard intimate, elegant ships that could visit the most enticing destinations worldwide. Best Small Ship Cruise Line.” — Seabourn
In 1986, a small group of luxury hospitality and cruising executives set out to offer the relaxed elegance once reserved for those who owned the world’s great private yachts. Their first ship, Seabourn Pride, entered service in 1988, and the company they built pioneered small-ship, ultra-luxury cruising — a style Seabourn continues to represent at its pinnacle nearly four decades later, with a 40th-anniversary world cruise planned aboard Seabourn Quest in 2028.
Today’s fleet numbers five intimate, all-suite ships carrying between 264 and 600 guests: Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation, joined by the purpose-built expedition ships Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. Every suite is ocean-front, and the crew count runs to nearly one staff member per guest, which is why regulars are so often greeted by name. Hallmarks abound: caviar served daily, complimentary premium spirits and fine wines, welcome Champagne and a stocked in-suite bar, watersports from the ships’ retractable marinas, and Seabourn Conversations, which brings noted authors, scientists and explorers to sea as fellow travelers.
Itineraries circle the globe — the Mediterranean and Caribbean, Alaska, Asia, Australia and the South Pacific, and true expedition voyages to Antarctica and the Arctic — often calling at harbors beyond the reach of larger ships. Seabourn suits travelers who want understated polish, genuine sociability and a ship that feels like their own yacht.
