ITINERARY

Limassol, Cyprus
The wine flows freely in Limassol, and so does the festive atmosphere. The center of Cyprus' wine industry, Limassol is home to a bustling bar and restaurant scene, as well as numerous wineries that are open for tours and tastings. The city seems to be engaged in constant celebration, staging elaborate festivals throughout the year. For those who would rather revel in good buys, the expansive waterfront promenade and nearby streets present shoppers with a dizzying array of choices, from traditional, handmade goods to expensive designer labels. Limassol also offers quieter pleasures, including museums, art galleries, and lush municipal gardens.

Paphos, Cyprus
Steeped in mythological history, Paphos offers an abundance of architectural wonders. In fact, the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some of the treasures not to be missed are the spectacular mosaics unearthed in the House of Dionysus, charming Omodos Village and the solid rock catacombs of the Tombs of the Kings. Paphos is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Her spirit lives on in the ancient ruins and temples, as well as the modern harbor and sun-splashed beaches where love is always in the air. Once you have discovered the sites beyond Paphos, you will find the palm-lined waterfront promenade most inviting for a stroll.

Rhodes, Greece
Rich with natural beauty and colorful history, Rhodes represents one of the most architecturally varied locations in Europe. Hellenistic, Byzantine, Medieval and Turkish influences intermingle with abundant sunshine and dry air to cast a magnificent light over the island that the ancients dedicated to Apollo, the God of Light.

Santorini (Thíra), Greece
Of all the Cyclades Islands, Santorini is often considered the most dramatic with its dark landscape and iconic whitewashed buildings. The rich soil is ideal for grapes and local vines produce a cherished crop known for its special volcanic taste. Picturesque "Thíra," or Fira Town, laid out along the edge of a cliff at the rim of the now extinct caldera, exudes an easy charm.

Naxos, Greece
White-washed villages and Venetian-inspired mansions shimmer against a dramatic display of turquoise water giving way to an ink-blue sea. Here, alleys bustle with shopping and cafés are close to secluded beaches. Tranquil mountain hikes lead to vestiges of ancient Greek and Byzantine cultures, including mighty Mount Zeus, the highest peak in the Cyclades and home of the king of Greek gods.

Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos, a former 18th-century pirates' bastion, is now a sophisticated and cosmopolitan island resort.
