Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate is 600 tropical acres with two soft sand beaches. With spectacular views of the Pitons plus the resort's two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick was inspired to design a one-of-a-kind resort and an environmentally conscious development before “green” became fashionable. Anse Chastanet offers 49 individually designed rooms, some scattered about a lush hillside, some are nestled within a tropical garden at beach level. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing trade winds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows. Extra-large deluxe and premium suites underscore the visionary, innovative, sometimes whimsical side of Nick Troubetzkoy: in one suite, the balcony is built around a full daily-grown red gommier tree; in another a flamboyant tree drapes its red blossoms around the balcony. Some have their 4th wall open entirely to the vistas, yet are completely private, others with a private pool, similar design to Jade Mountain plus a new air conditioned Beach House, offering the utmost privacy in a Villa like setting. There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars at Anse Chastanet, each offering an enticing selection of menus to ensure that our guests can enjoy many different culinary experiences during their stay. Located at beach level, the Kai Belté Spa was designed by architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy in the same airy and "in harmony with nature" style his resort guest rooms are renowned for, yet affording complete privacy. Many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation.
