Hotel Vilon

The Vilòn is housed within a historic mansion which dates back to the mid-sixteenth century when it was known as the “House annexed to Palazzo Borghese”. Belonging to the noble Roman family of the Borghese since the beginning of 1600 the palace became, by will of Princess Adelaide Borghese de la Rochefacault, School for Maidens in 1841, and was further entrusted to the French nuns of the Daughters of the Cross until recently. Today, “The house annexed to the Borghese Palace” is reborn after a careful and attentive restoration which reinstates and recreates its ancient splendor. The Hotel officially opened its doors for the very first time on March 4th 2018. Perfectly located to discover the real essence of Rome, the Vilòn is a great base to explore the city and get lost in the small and ancient alleys of the Eternal City. Guests can select from a variety of exquisite accommodations in this former mansion turned luxury boutique hotel. It features 18 spacious contemporary guest rooms and suites with elevated views into the restored private gardens of Palazzo Borghese and a chic private courtyard.  At Vilòn guests are able to make the most of their Roman days by discovering the city with tailor made journeys such as bike tours, vespa tours, Roman enogastronomic discoveries etc. The hotel offers exquiste dining area including Adelaide Restaurant and Bar and the enchanting outdoor garden. In honour of Princess Borghese, the name the restaurant “Adelaide” and the bar lounge, familiarly called « In Salotto » (in the living room). Opened all day long, it ensures delicious experiences to the guests in the house, but also to the external ones, creating an international yet Roman authentic atmosphere. Adelaide offers a unique culinary experience in which simplicity, tradition and technique are perfectly combined to assure in every bite the truest and greatest tastes. The menu changes according to the seasons and includes classics of the Roman tradition with fresh modern twists.
