Founded in 1789, the storybook Village of Aurora is situated on the calm shores of Cayuga Lake in the heart of New York’s premier wine region. Designated as a National Historic District and under one square mile, Aurora is a peaceful respite from our busy world. The five Inns of Aurora—along with a world-class spa, farm-to-table restaurant, casual pub, village market, activities center, and demonstration kitchen—are tucked into this charming setting, all within easy walking distance on Aurora’s elm-lined Main Street. Each of the Inns of Aurora are steeped in history and have been restored to luxury. From the iconic Aurora Inn's heritage as a center for hospitality since 1833 to Zabriskie House's stunning transformation from private home to boutique inn, each of the Inns offers distinctive style. The Aurora Inn: Built in 1833 by Colonel E.B. Morgan, this was a favorite resting-place for travelers, a major stop along the Erie Canal in the Finger Lakes region. Restored in 2003, now serves as the Inns of Aurora's flagship property. Today, the Inn strikes a perfect balance of historic charm and modern luxury, with ten luxurious guest rooms, semi-private balconies, and lakeside views. E.B. Morgan House: Originally built in 1858 as a private residence for the influential Morgan family. The building was restored in 2005 and offers seven stylish guestrooms—each with private marble baths—exquisite living spaces, gracious porches, and an exceptional collection of original modern art. Rowland House: Built in 1903 as Alonzo Morgan Zabriskie's private residence and restored in 2014. Rowland House offers ten chic guestrooms, each with a private marble bath, vibrant color schemes, original modern art, stunning views, and luxurious linens. Four guestrooms — along with a private lounge — comprise the entire third floor, decorated with the distinctive and playful designs of MacKenzie-Childs. Zabriskie House: The sibling property to Rowland House, Zabriskie House was built for Nicholas Lansing Zabriskie in 1904 and restored in 2019. The house offers eleven guestrooms and several gracious gathering spaces: a double parlor with cozy fireplaces, a 22-person wood-paneled dining room available exclusively for private events, and a stunning three-story grand staircase.
