ITINERARY

Day 1 - Frederick Meijer and John Genitti
Start the day at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, founded by American businessman and chairman of the Meijer hypermarket shopping chain, with a tram tour through this botanical garden, art museum and outdoor sculpture park. Dinner and entertainment tonight is at Genitti’s Hole in the Wall, a unique restaurant serving a family-style Italian dinner followed by a fun-filled interactive comedy show. Meal: D

Day 2 - The Legacy of Henry Ford
Today, immerse yourself into the world of American Pioneer Henry Ford. Go behind the scenes on a Ford Motor Company factory tour to see how the Ford F150 pickup truck is built. Also visit the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation to discover the bold ideas and brilliant minds that shaped America’s past and inspire its future. Tonight, enjoy a tour and dinner at the Ford House, the one-time historic estate of Edsel and Eleanor Ford. Meals: B, D

Day 3 - Stan Hywet Hall and American Music Legends
At Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, see the sprawling estate of American Pioneer F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Be impressed by Manor’s Great Hall, Music Room and its intimate architectural details. After your included box lunch, come to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Here, trace the roots of your favorite Music Legends as you experience this immersive museum. From Elvis Presley and Bruce Springsteen to Crosby, Stills and Nash and Aretha Franklin, the museum documents the history of rock. Meals: B, L

Day 4 - First Ladies, William McKinley and The Pros
Explore the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an exhilarating museum that pays tribute to the talents and triumphs of pro football’s greatest Legends. Learn the history of American football, see the Heisman trophy winers and trace the Super Bowl Champions 1967 to the present day. At the National First Ladies Library and Museum you can explore the legacies of the nation’s First Ladies and exhibits that take a deeper dive into their contributions to American history. Day 5 - Ohio State Reformatory and Brush Crazy
Today, experience the history and legacy of the Ohio State Reformatory, an historic prison built between 1886 and 1910. Learn the countless stories of its past and see where such films as The Shawshank Redemption were made. Later, feel free to channel your inner artist at Brush Crazy, a fun and hands-on painting experience. Meals: B, Drury Manager’s Reception

Day 6 - Orville and Wilber Wright’s Legacy
Start your morning at the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center & Wright Cycle Shop to learn about the brothers’ early years as printers and bicycle builders. See how their genius and tenacity led to their invention of the world’s first powered, manned, flying machine. At the world’s largest and oldest military aviation museum, see the over 350 flight and aerospace vehicles at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. In the afternoon, visit the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park’s Huffman Prairie Flying Field and Interpretive Center to learn about the Wright brothers’ activities following their successful 1903 flight. Day 7 - Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre and Return Home
