Tromsø, Norway
Welcome to Norway. Your voyage begins in Tromsø, a remote outpost that sits 350km above the Arctic Circle. You’ll be warmly welcomed on board Scenic Eclipse by your Captain, crew and Discovery Team before setting sail for the journey of a lifetime. With only up to 228 guests on board, you’re about to experience an immersive, engaging and intimate voyage through this fascinating part of Northern Europe. Ask the butler to bring a glass of Champagne to your suite and toast the start of your journey from your private verandah.   Please book your flight to arrive into Tromso prior to 02:00 PM.

Cruising North Cape (Nordkapp) > Skarsvåg
Stand on the spacious Observation Deck or grab one of the sun lounges beside the Sky Bar this morning for a remarkable sight as you sail past Nordkapp, or North Cape, soaring 307m from the sea. This is the northernmost point of Europe, where the sun doesn’t set for up to three months over summer. Scenic Eclipse will spend the night in nearby Skarsvag, a tiny village home to just 60 people, so you can experience the magic of the Midnight Sun. This is also a good time to begin learning more about Norwegian history, culture and the magnificent fjords you will soon be sailing through in an engaging lecture in the state-of-the-art theatre with one of the Discovery Team experts. Freechoice: King Crab Safari: Catch and savour the renowned King Crab at Sarnes Lavvo Camp, followed by a delicious meal prepared on-site. Tour to North Cape: Experience the rugged beauty of Magerøy Island on a journey to North Cape. Explore North Cape Hall and enjoy panoramic views, weather permitting.

At sea > Harstad
After enjoying a late night under the Midnight Sun, you might be feeling a little sleepy this morning. Spend some extra time in your signature Scenic Slumber Bed as the ship begins to sail back along the Norwegian coastline. You may ask the butler to bring a mid-morning coffee to your suite to enjoy on your private verandah. This evening, stand on the Sky Deck with a drink in hand as you sail into Harstad, located on Norway’s largest island. An overnight stay in this charming small town offers the incredible opportunity for an after-dinner stroll through its historic centre in daylight. You’re still in the land of the Midnight Sun, and the Swiss chalet-style cottages and Art Nouveau buildings will be bathed in a warm dusky light.

Harstad, Norway > At sea
Surrounded by forests, mountains and fjords, Harstad is a destination that is largely undiscovered by tourists. This morning, explore the stunning Trondenes Peninsula, within walking distance of the town centre. Once the domain of powerful Viking chiefs, it’s home to the northernmost stone church in Norway, dating back to the Middle Ages. Back on board Scenic Eclipse, enjoy little luxuries in big places – sip Champagne as whales glide by or spot migrating sea birds over coffee on your private verandah. Freechoice: Fishing Trip: Board the MK Viken for a crab-catching adventure in Vågsfjord. Enjoy a delicious meal afterward at Sarnes Lavvo Camp. Harstad Panorama: Embark on a scenic journey through Harstad, followed by a visit to Trondenes. Explore North Cape Hall and then stop at Nupen for a panoramic vista. Visit Kasfjord City, a captivating miniature wonderland. Highlights of Harstad: Discover the rich heritage of Trondenes Peninsula, including Trondenes Church and the Historical Centre. Witness the worlds largest land-based gun from World War II, built in 1943. Hike Gansaas: Hike to Gangsåstoppen summit for stunning views of Harstad city and enjoy Norwegian delicacies by the fire.

At sea
Indulge a little more in your Discovery Yacht’s facilities. Begin the day with a yoga class, followed by a soak in the heated Vitality Pool, with the endless horizon as your backdrop. Your active start to the day means you can reward yourself by asking the butler to bring breakfast to your suite. Meet your new friends for lunch at the Azure Bar and Café, ideal for casual but upscale dining with a sea view unlike any other. Throughout the day, have fun at the lively trivia sessions in the Lounge and enjoy enrichment lectures in the theatre, delving deep into topics ranging from wildlife and upcoming ports and local communities. In the afternoon, choose your favourite bar or lounge, making the most of the truly all-inclusive beverage menu*, including premium wines and spirits.

Seydisfjördur, Iceland
Today, youll arrive in Seyðisfjörður, on the east coast of Iceland. This marks the start of a spectacular six-day circumnavigation of the land of fire and ice, during which youll explore the most dramatic landscapes. Seyðisfjörður is at the mouth of a beautiful fjord and is the heart of culture, heritage, art, and hospitality in East Iceland. Surrounded by cascading waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, and wandering reindeer and porpoises frequenting the shores, this unique destination will enchant you. Freechoice: Vallanes Farm Visit: Modir Jörds home is the organic farm Vallanes in East Iceland. A leading force in reintroducing barley to Icelandic cuisine, youll learn about unique local ingredients and products on-site. Vök Baths: Plunge into Iceland´s purest hot spring water at the floating infinity pools on the edge of Lake Urridavatn. Named after the Icelandic word for ‘melting ice’, the baths water comes from naturally heated springs deep below the frozen lake. Archaeology, History and Heritage Walk: Visit Fjörðurs archaeological site and stroll through the towns historic district. Enjoy refreshments at Skaftfell Bistro and explore the Technical Museum. Hiking in Skalanes: Discover Þórarinsstaðirs archaeological site and explore Skálanes nature centre. Spot wildlife and enjoy refreshments.

Grímsey Island > Húsavík
The small island of Grímsey sits off the north coast of Iceland, straddling the Arctic Circle. It’s one of the few places on earth where you can cross into the Arctic Circle on foot – truly a once in a lifetime experience. The green, grassy island is home to one million seabirds (and just 100 people), so you’ll be surrounded by their constant chatter under 24 hours of daylight. Keep your eyes on the water as you sail into Húsavík this evening. This area is often referred to as the whale capital of Iceland and up to 23 species of whales have been spotted nearby. You might see minke whales, humpbacks, fin whales, rare orcas or even blue whales, the largest mammal on Earth. You’ll have more time tonight to explore the town under the remarkable Midnight Sun. Freechoice: Guided Walk: Discover Grimsey, Icelands northernmost inhabited island, covering just 5.3 km², easily explored on foot. Passenger Train: Discover Grimsey Island aboard a petite train looping around the lighthouse, village and Arctic Circle Monument, offering a unique glimpse into island life.

Húsavík
Nestled on the edge of Shaky Bay, Húsavík has a long history and was the first place in Iceland to be settled. In the year 860, a Swedish Viking and his crew built Icelands first house here as they wintered on the island. Today, its known for its colourful houses, unique museums and stunning peaks across the bay. Offshore, pods of dolphins and whales are abundant, breaching from the deep blue waters. Freechoice: Diamond Circle: See Europes mightiest waterfall, Dettifoss, and Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. Discover Hljóðaklettars unique formations and Ásbyrgi canyon. Húsavík Sea Baths: Soak in geothermal waters at Geosea baths, perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, where you may spot whales while decompressing in Icelandic style. Lake Myvatn: Explore the geothermal wonders of Lake Myvatn, formed by volcanic eruptions. Marvel at bubbling mud flats and moon-like landscapes used for NASA astronaut training. Enrich Private concert at historic Husavikurkirkja; A once in a lifetime opportunity awaits guests upon arrival in the picturesque harbor town of Húsavík. The evening begins with a welcome drink before heading to the historic Norwegian timber church to enjoy a private and exclusive concert performed by local Icelandic Folk Musicians, as well as choral music with organ accompaniment. 

Dynjandi (Fjallfoss)
If the temperamental Icelandic weather permits, today you will visit the Jewel of the Westfjords. Scenic Eclipse will sail into the narrow fjord to reach the face of the jaw-dropping Dynjandi waterfall, also known as Fjallfoss, considered one of the most beautiful in Iceland. Stand back and admire the cascading bridal veil falls and hear why it was nicknamed the thunder. You can glide ashore on a Zodiac or explore on foot, getting up close to this series of seven waterfalls reaching a height of 100 metres. Tonight, settle in at the spacious Scenic Lounge Bar to enjoy your beverage of choice, whether it be aged whiskey or a glass of wine, while reflecting on the days discoveries.

Reykjavík
Sail around the dramatic west coast to dock in Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital city and the largest settlement in Iceland. The pretty harbour is lined with colourful buildings and dotted with thought-provoking alfresco art, much of it nodding to the region’s seafaring history. It’s a busy, buzzy city with a creative soul, vibrant nightlife and a population of cool, quirky Reykvíkingurs. Explore its stylish restaurants, chic boutiques, innovative galleries and fascinating museums. Freechoice: Golden Circle & Lunch: Explore Icelands iconic Golden Circle, featuring Þingvellir National Park, Gulfoss waterfall, and Geysir hot spring, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

Heimaey, Westman Islands
The earth is always rumbling beneath Iceland. Today, you’ll see a perfect example of nature’s ability to both create and destroy. Heimaey and the Westman Islands (Vestmannaeyjar) are filled with awe-inspiring natural beauty. When the volcano Eldfell, meaning ‘Hill of Fire’, erupted in 1973, parts of the island were covered in lava and ash, sealing them in a virtual time capsule. They now form the centerpiece of the fascinating Eldheimar Museum, where you can step back in time to the day of the eruption. Walking through the town, you’ll be able to see signs of the eruption and fallout. Keep your eyes open for our black and white friends, with more Atlantic puffins nesting here than anywhere else in the world. It’s also the best place in Iceland to spot orcas and they’re a common sight in spring. At Sea
For relaxation and wellbeing at sea, the indulgent Senses Spa awaits on Deck 6. This expansive 550m2 spa is unlike anything you’ll see at sea. Inside this luxurious retreat, you can be pampered with a range of holistic ESPA treatments# including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. A range of alternative therapies is also on offer, like Japanese shiatsu and Indian Ayurvedic massage. There’s also a hair and beauty salon within the spa if you need a touch-up. At Sea
A true culinary journey awaits every day on board Scenic Eclipse, with up to 10 extraordinary all-inclusive dining experiences. Start with breakfast al fresco at the Yacht Club (be sure to return later to visit the large gelato fridge). For lunch, Azure Bar & Café serves light meals, pizza and salads that are available for grazing throughout the day. Elements is the main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where the menu ranges from Italian to steak and seafood. The selection of specialty restaurants on board allows you to dine around the world each night. Channel the spirit of Asia at Koko’s Asian Fusion; choose one of the sunken Japanese-style tables for an authentic ambience. Take a seat at the bar at Sushi @ Koko’s to watch the chefs at work or enjoy the spectacle of teppanyaki-style dining inspired by the markets of Asia at Night Market @ Koko’s, an exclusive experience for just eight guests at a time. Geiranger, Norway
Sail into a fairytale of majestic snow-capped peaks, lush green forest and tumbling waterfalls this morning. The World Heritage-listed Geirangerfjord is one of the most mesmerising scenes in Norway and Scenic Eclipse will sail across sparkling waters beneath 800m high cliffs. Your Discovery Yacht’s GPS Dynamic Positioning will enable her to maintain location without dropping anchor, preserving the sensitive eco-system. Freechoice: Geiranger Fjord Centre: Explore the interactive centre, enjoy panoramic views at Eagle’s Bend Viewpoint, and capture scenic shots from Flydal Gorge Viewpoint. Hiking Westerås: Hike to Storseter Falls and Westerås Mountain Farm for panoramic views, then return via Westerås Lookout. Geirangerfjord Kayaking: Glide through the stunning Geirangerfjord by kayak, admiring the Seven Sisters Waterfall and Preacher’s Pulpit. Mount Dalsnibba: Take a scenic journey to Mount Dalsnibba, stopping at Flydal Gorge Viewpoint before reaching the summit for awe-inspiring vistas. Geirangerfjord by RIB: Speed through the Geirangerfjord on a high-speed RIB (rigid inflatable boat), passing by waterfalls and scenic spots like the Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil Waterfalls.

Kristiansund
The colourful city of Kristiansund is spread across four charming islands, giving it the appearance of floating in the Atlantic Ocean. Claiming to have one of the world’s oldest public transit systems, the small passenger ferry service Sundbåten has operated since 1876, shuttling locals and visitors between the islands. Board one of these charming small boats to hop between the islands in just a few minutes. While in Kristiansund, taste the city’s specialty: Bacalao, a traditional clipfish stew made with tomatoes. Then, explore the ancient Bremnes Stone Circle.

Reine, Lofoten Islands
Make sure you’re standing on your private verandah or join the other passengers on the Observation Terrace as you sail into the Lofoten Islands this adiscovfternoon. Rising dramatically from the sea, these tall, craggy outcrops with impossibly blue water, sheltered coves and pristine beaches are an unmissable sight. This rare wilderness offers breathtaking scenery surrounded by majestic mountains, deep fjords, seabird colonies and picturesque fishing villages. Go ashore at Reine, an authentic Norwegian fishing village with a population of just 300. Keep your camera handy – this is one of the most photographed landscapes in Norway, with quaint fisherman huts lining the shores of glassy waters and granite peaks for a backdrop. Leknes, Lofoten Islands
The postcard views continue today, cruising past the staggering peaks, sheltered coves and picturesque fishing villages of the Lofoten Islands. Today could be the day you are able to soar above in one of two on board helicopters^. The Airbus H130-T2 features wrap-around windscreens, wide windows and Bose® headphones and are some of the quietest helicopters in the sky. As a final farewell to this breathtaking part of the world, Scenic Eclipse will sail through the majestic Trollfjord this evening. With a narrow entrance and steep mountains along each side, it appears almost too small for the ship to enter. Once inside, gaze upon the gorgeous Arctic scenery and look for sea eagles circling the peaks. Freechoice: Lofoten Heritage Trail: Explore Lofotens traditional life and stunning landscapes. Visit Flakstad Church, Sunds local museum, and Reine village. Tromsø
Arriving back in Tromsø, there’s time to savour one last luxurious breakfast on your Discovery Yacht before saying goodbye to the crew and new friends. Share the highlights of your once-in-a-lifetime journey in this spectacular part of the world with your friends and family, knowing you have created stories for life. Perhaps extend your stay and explore the city that’s known as the cultural hub of the Arctic. Surprisingly cosmopolitan for its remote location, during the summer Tromsø is full of locals basking in the sunlight, tucking into fresh seafood on the docks, enjoying a drink at the world’s most northern brewery or taking a dip in the refreshing waters of the local beach.
