AmaWaterways sails further afield than most river lines, and it shows on the map. The European fleet works the Rhine, Danube, Douro, Rhône and Seine, usually tied up at a town quay rather than a commercial port — so a ship can read as "in port" somewhere you would not find on a harbor chart. The Mekong, Nile and Chobe ships are a different matter: AIS coverage on those rivers is patchy, so expect longer gaps between reports.
