Day 1 - Arrive in Banff
Today your flight will arrive at Calgary International Airport. As your plane touches down, you will be met by a Meet & Greet representative at your arrival gate. The driver will take you from Calgary to Banff by private car, and it is in Banff that your true Canadian adventure begins. Overnight Banff.
Day 2 - Banff Touring
Upon waking this morning, you will be surrounded soaring mountains, picturesque views and charming resort town amenities. A driver will meet you at your hotel this morning, and you will set off for a 5-hour tour of Banff. During your time on this in-depth tour, you will see some of the natural sites that surround Banff, possibly including Lake Moraine, Columbia Icefields and Athabasca Glacier and Mount Norquay, as well as the most famous tourist attractions the resort town has to offer. Following your tour, you time to explore Banff on your own. Perhaps take a look over the town from the Banff Gondola or explore the locally owned stores downtown. Banff also features an awesome dining scene, which features restaurants that offer everything from traditional Canadian cuisine to international favorites. Overnight Banff.
Day 3 - Lake Louise
Spend a little more time soaking in the beauty of Banff this morning - maybe even grab breakfast at one of the local eateries or pamper yourself at the Willow Spa. When it comes time to check out of your hotel, you will be transferred you to your next stop, Lake Louise. This beloved destination is a sightseer’s dream, with its stunning blue waters sitting at the base of the ever-impressive Canadian Rockies. You will have the remainder of the day to explore Lake Louise and all of its surrounding beauty. Snowshoeing tours and sleigh rides are great ways to get acquainted with the landscape. Day 4 - Jasper
This morning you are off once again, this time to the beautiful town of Jasper. Your driver will take you on a scenic drive through the mountains, along the famed Icefields Parkway and into the resort town center of Jasper National Park. Keep your camera handy for this drive. When you get to Jasper, you have the day to do as much or as little as you desire. There are a variety of shops to explore, wonderful restaurants in which to taste the local cuisine and many tours to embark on. Do not forget to take a journey above the town with a ride aboard the Jasper Tram. Overnight Jasper.
Day 5 - Jasper
Once again you awake surrounded by the great snowy Canadian Rockies this morning. Soak in the mountain air and the relaxed atmosphere. For tours that take place between December and March, you have the option to set out for a one-of-a-kind, full-day dog sledding expedition. You will be transferred to Valemount, B.C., which is located 90 minutes outside of Jasper for a day of learning and fun. You will be treated to an instructional presentation about the sport, then you will have the option to set out with a team of your own dogs. Whether you choose to be the driver, maneuvering the dogs through the wintry landscape, or to snuggle up in the sled and enjoy the passing scenery, this is an expedition to remember. If you select to stay in Jasper instead, or for tours that take place out of season, enjoy a day of leisure. Miette Hot Springs are a great place to visit, or there are many spas to choose from. Days 6-8 - VIA Rail’s Canadian to Toronto
Today you are off for a new type of adventure: a ride aboard one of Canada’s most famous rail lines, VIA Rail’s Canadian. You will transferred from your resort to the Jasper train station, and upon boarding the train, you will be escorted to your Prestige Cabin to get settled in for the first of three nights. As a Prestige Class traveler, your time on the Canadian is filled with convenience and luxury. The vistas along the way are unbelievable, and you will be treated to some of the most incredible scenery Canada has to offer as you make your way to Toronto. Watch the landscape unfold from the Panorama, Park or Skyline sightseeing cars, or relax in one of the lounges. A concierge is on hand 24 hours a day to attend to your needs while aboard the train, and you will be treated to performances and onboard entertainment. All of your meals are freshly prepared by the onboard chef and include specialties that highlight the regional cuisine. Day 9 - Toronto
Today, the train makes its way out of Canada’s vast wilderness, and the skyline of Toronto comes into view. Upon arrival, transfer to your centrally located hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the amenities of a big city. Check out one of the many museums, gaze upon the varied architecture or eat your way through Toronto by checking out one of many restaurants. Overnight Toronto.
Day 10 - Niagara Falls
An international delight, Niagara Falls is your destination for the day. A driver will meet you at the hotel, and you will travel out of the city and south to the falls. Upon arrival, get a little-seen look at Niagara Falls with a Behind the Falls tour. A deluxe lunch is served at the Penthouse Fallsview Restaurant, where you can marvel at the cascading waters as you enjoy a chef-prepared meal. There are so many sights to be seen - Table Rock, Floral Clock, Upper Rapids and Niagara Gorge - and you will have the opportunity to experience them all before moving on via the famed Niagara Parkway. This route is as historic and it is scenic and takes you to the charming old town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Here, time is yours to shop the local boutiques, explore the historic buildings and to stroll along the tree-lined streets. Overnight Toronto.
Day 11 - Toronto
Your tour through Canada comes to a close this morning. Reflect on all of the adventures and amazing sights you have experienced as your driver transfers you from the hotel to Toronto Pearson International Airport. The trip may be over, but the memories of this journey will last for years to come.
