ITINERARY

Day 1 - SUNDAY
Meet in Béziers, then embark on charming ‘Athos,’ converted from an authentic wine barge, moored in the port of Argeliers. Enjoy a welcome reception upon boarding.

Day 2 - MONDAY
Disembark for a guided walk through the medieval walled city of Carcassonne. Later in the day, after continuing your cruise along the historic canal, moor at La Croisade for the night.

Day 3 - TUESDAY
Go ashore to visit the L’Oulibo cooperative for a tasting of organic olives and olive oils accompanied by a glass of wine. Visit the hilltop village of Minerve, site of a medieval Cathar fortress. Later, cruise to the quaint village of Capestang.

Day 4 - WEDNESDAY
Enjoy a morning visit to a lively and colorful indoor market in Narbonne. This afternoon, cruise to the lock staircase at Fonserannes.

Day 5 - THURSDAY
Visit the market town of Pézenas and view the uniquely striking architecture of the local mansions once owned by nobles of the Languedoc court. This afternoon, cruise to Portiragnes.

Day 6 - FRIDAY
Today, cruise through the estuaries of the “Petit Camargue,” a birdwatcher’s paradise. Moor in the port at Marseillan to tour the Noilly Prat vermouth distillery and enjoy a tasting, and then return to your vessel for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.

Day 7 - SATURDAY
After breakfast on board, bid ‘Athos’ adieu and disembark in Marseillan for your transfer back to Béziers.
