Day 1
Visit the amazing archaeological site of Teotihuacan, the largest pre-Columbian city in the Americas during the first millennium, before continuing to your final destination and home for the next two nights, San Miguel de Allende.
Day 2
Today you have the option of an early morning swim in nearby hot springs before a half day privately guided tour of beautiful, artistic San Miguel de Allende.
Day 3
Explore the world heritage city of Guanajuato with its winding streets and subterranean passages. After lunch, view the collection of fine art work at the home of the late Chavez Morado and Olga Costa-Jose.
Day 4
Enjoy a full day exploring Guanajuato.
Day 5
Take a guided tour of Patzcuaro and the notable Purepecha archaeological site of Tzintzuntzan, whose main feature is the step pyramids.
Day 6
Discover Isla Janitzio and the fascinating crafts villages that surround Lake Patzcuaro. Continue to Santa Clara del Cobre for a delicious locally prepared lunch of Tarascan fare.
Day 7
Visit Morelia, whose historic section has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its numerous colonial buildings and churches.
Day 8
This morning your expert guide takes you on a private tour of some of the outlying areas of Morelia, including el Carmen y San Jose, Villalongin, Callejon del Romance, Acueducto, Calzada y Iglesia de San Diego, Orquidario, Subida de La Paloma and Mirador del Asta Bandera.
Day 9
The morning is yours to enjoy the city center of Morelia and soak in the local flavor on your own. After lunch, return to the hotel for your private drive back to Mexico City.
