Tour little-known Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve, a vast ocean of lava flow created from 15,000 years of eruptions. Climb Mount Borah and fly to White Bird to embark on a three-day Salmon River rafting trip. In the north, kayak past granite cliffs on Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho's largest and deepest lake.
Today, you climb Idaho's tallest peak, Mt. Borah, rising to 12,668 feet. Located in the Lost River Range, Mt. Borah is perched above the Pahsimeroi and Big Lost River Valleys, with spectacular views of the Pioneer and White Cloud Ranges.
Day 3
Take an early morning charter flight across the state to reach White Bird, Idaho, where you begin a three-day whitewater rafting trip through the lower gorges of the Salmon River. The scenery in the Salmon River Canyon alternates between dramatic sheer-walled canyons and huge mountains
of golden grass with distant towering ponderosa pines.

Days 4-6
Another early morning flight takes you north with spectacular views over the Clearwater and St. Joe rivers, the Palouse, Coeur d'Alene Lake and finally to Sandpoint. Here you launch a full-day sea kayak tour on Idaho's largest and deepest lake, Lake Pend Oreille. You paddle along the base of the majestic Green Monarchs Mountains, where steep granite cliffs flank Lake Pend Oreille's eastern shore. Later in the day, you return to town and have a presentation from a member of the Rock Creek Alliance to learn about the ecosystem of
Lake Pend Oreille.
Day 7
Today, you arrive at the Spokane, Washington, airport for your flight home.
