Atlas Ashore
Do you offer air?
Intercontinental airfare is included in your cruise fare (select gateways).
How active do I have to be to sail?
Our Adventure Ashore program offers a variety of activities, ranging from slow and steady to amped up adventures. The choice is up to you.
Do you offer Pre and Post hotel and land packages?
Absolutely! Our pre- and post-hotel and land packages in select ports offer you the ultimate adventures beyond your expedition.
When can I book shore excursions?
You can start checking for available shore excursions to add to your already exciting voyage eight months before your scheduled departure date.
Atlas Onboard
Do you offer medical services?
Atlas Ocean Voyages’ ship does have a Medical Centre staffed with a licensed doctor, for non-emergency and emergency services. These services are available at an additional cost. The Medical Centre are designed for temporary illnesses or accidents.
Do you offer Kosher dining experiences?
Kosher meals will be available, the meals are frozen and delivered to our ships in double-wrapped packaging.
Do you have a casino on board?
No casino aboard our ships. But we have plenty more to keep you entertained during your days at sea.
Do I tip onboard?
Your cruise fare includes gratuities already. But if you feel like any of our crew deserves a little something extra, feel free to tip them directly.
Do you offer kids clubs or babysitters onboard?
Atlas Ocean Voyages does not offer special programmes for children on board, and does not provide for the care, entertainment or supervision of children.
What is your on-board smoking policy?
Our guests’ and crew’s health, welfare and comfort are top priority for us. That’s why we have designated areas to accommodate for smoking and do not permit smoking in suites, staterooms, or on balconies.
Is WI-FI Included?
Your cruise fare includes standard Wi-Fi. But if you feel you need a little more, feel free to purchase one of our upgraded packages.
What’s the dress code onboard?
After an exhilarating day onshore, you can keep it casual and comfortable onboard. Feel free to go for resort casual when attending the evening restaurant.
Do you have dry cleaning and laundry services?
Not only are laundry services available on board, they are included in your cruise fare!
Will there be formal nights, if so, how many?
We do not have structured formal nights. Feel free to wear resort casual for evening attire. But if you want to rock a suit and tie or gown, go for it! It’s totally up to you.
Can I pre-book spa appointments?
You can book spa appointments before your voyage sets sail. Stay tuned for more details in the near future.
Will we use zodiacs or tenders or both to go ashore?
Our ships come equipped with both zodiacs and tenders. Which one we use to bring you ashore will depend on the destination and weather conditions, as our guests’ safety is of the utmost importance.
Will Atlas Ocean Voyages provide expedition clothing (included) and changing area?
We will provide expedition parkas and rubber boots to get you started on your adventure. Our ships will also have a mud room for changing before you head out to your next exhilarating challenge.
How many dining venues are onboard?
World Navigator offers a main dining room and casual pool deck café, giving you an array of cuisine. You can also enjoy al fresco dining or room service in the comfort of your suite or stateroom.
Do you offer open seating?
Our dining venues are all open seating all the time. No reservations ever required. Once we determine dining room hours, we will update our guests.
Do you offer in-room dining with full dining room menu?
We will offer in-room dining during non-dining room hours so you can indulge and savor in the comfort of your own suite or stateroom. A standard menu is under development.
What entertainment, guest lecturers and onboard programming will be available?
We are currently developing our entertainment and other onboard programs. But we will have updates for you soon!
What amenities will be provided in staterooms? Hair dryer, safes, etc.?
All staterooms come with deluxe amenities like exterior views, private bathroom facilities, TV, safe, hair dryers, individual temperature control, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, use of umbrella, terry cloth robes and slippers.
Will guests be allowed to bring alcohol onboard?
Guests can bring certain alcohol on board that is subject to an additional corkage fee. Our all-inclusive fare encompasses all wine, beer, and spirits, plus all non-alcoholic beverages served onboard.
What is the voltage in your suites/staterooms?
Suites and staterooms have a voltage of 110 and 220 so you can conveniently charge your devices.
Will there be meeting space onboard?
We are happy to accommodate groups. We can host groups in a few venues depending on how many individuals make up the group.
Will you require medical forms?
For your safety and well-being and depending on the medical condition, we may require you to bring medical forms with you on your journey. This will be the best way for us to keep you safe and healthy while on your travels.
Does the ship have elevators? If so, how many?
World Navigator will have two elevators conveniently located to grant guests easy access to different decks and their rooms.
Will there be religious services onboard?
Religious services will not be provided onboard. But we are happy to accommodate guests to the best of our ability should they have special needs or preferences to practice their religion. We welcome all aboard our voyages!
Will there be a welcome and farewell reception?
We will host welcome and farewell receptions the only way we know how – Atlas Ocean Voyages style.
What about special events like birthdays or anniversaries?
Of course! Let us know about your celebration prior to your expedition and we will prep everything in advance to give you the best gift on your special day.
General Questions
Do you have a minimum age requirement?
Yes, our minimum age requirement is 12 months for all itineraries excluding Antarctica which is 8 years of age.
Can I request connecting staterooms or suites?
Connecting staterooms are not available. Guests can be accommodated by booking staterooms next to each other.
What are the ship specifications – tonnage, length, categories of staterooms?
World Navigator is built with the following dimensions: Length 413 ft., Beam 62 Ft., Draft 15.4 ft., 9,923 gross tons. Our ship comes with a total of 98 accommodations. Are you partnering with any organizations for practicing sustainability? What are your environmental policies?
We take sustainability practices very seriously. To ensure we leave the world as we found it for future generations, our fleet of eco-friendly ships will be purpose-built with advanced technology and equipment. We are diligently working to create partnerships with brands that share our values.
What is your maximum stateroom occupancy?
Our many suites and staterooms come with a sumptuous queen-size bed that can convert into two singles and a comfortable sofa bed to accommodate up to three guests.
Will you be visiting smaller ports? What ports do you visit?
Our small expedition ships are built with only 98 suites and staterooms. This lets us to sail into many remote and intimate destinations that the big ships cannot get to. To find out more about the ports we visit, check out our many exciting itineraries.
Do you have a loyalty program?
We wholeheartedly appreciate and encourage you to come back for more adventures with us. That’s why we are currently developing a loyalty program that will let you set sail with Atlas Ocean Voyages over and over again.
What is the crew’s nationality?
At Atlas Ocean Voyages, we welcome all aboard our ships, so our crew comes from all over the world to share their rich culture and personalities with us.
Where is World Navigator registered?
World Navigator is registered in Madeira, Portugal, in the heart of our brand’s rich heritage of exploration.
Where are Atlas Ocean Voyages’ ships built?
Our ships are being built in the West SEA Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
I’m worried that my sailing will fill up quickly. What is your waitlist policy?
Our most popular and unique sailings do fill up quickly. To secure your spot in the reservation queue and make sure you get the chance at a bucket-list adventure, simply join our Priority Waitlist with a $500 deposit per stateroom. If your waitlist does not clear to book, we will refund your deposit.
What destinations are your ships visiting?
Our current itineraries include less-traveled destinations in the Aegean, Black Sea, Holy Lands, TransAtlantic, Caribbean, South America and Antarctica. But we are hard at work planning other adventurous destinations following our 2021 inaugural voyages.
What is your policy for pregnant travelers?
We are happy to accommodate any guest who has not yet entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of or at any time during their voyage. We prioritize our guests’ health and well-being, so we recommend they seek medical advice from their doctor prior to sailing. We would like to extend a friendly reminder that Atlas Ocean Voyages does not represent that travel is safe during any point of a guest’s pregnancy.
Will guests under the age of 18 be able to occupy a stateroom by themselves?
We are excited to give all our guests the journey of a lifetime. To ensure their safety and well-being, we require guests under the age of 18 to have an adult accompany them in their suite or stateroom.
Money Matters
How do I pay for onboard expenses?
Onboard purchases will be conveniently billed to your guest account in USD. During checkin you can establish your account by providing credit card details (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa).
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Discover to afford guests easy and convenient options of payment.
What is the onboard currency?
While onboard, you can make extra purchases that will be billed to your account in U.S. dollars for the ultimate convenience.
What does the cruise fare include?
Our journeys are all-inclusive. That means fare encompasses roundtrip air, all gratuities; round the clock beer, wine and spirits, plus all non-alcoholic beverages including filtered water; butler service for suites; L’Occitane bath amenities; a free shore excursion in select ports; standard Wi-Fi service; coffee/tea machines in all accommodations; luxury accommodations; all meals and snacks; and more!
After I make a reservation when is my deposit due?
To make sure you don’t lose your spot after making a reservation, make sure to submit your initial deposit within 3 days of the booking for reservations made more than 90 days from sailing. If you make a booking within 90 days of the sailing date, you must submit full payment by the set option date. To make a deposit for your voyage please contact us at 1.844.44.ATLAS (28527).
When is final payment due?
As you prepare for the adventure of a lifetime, you must make the final payment 90 days prior to your departure date so that you do not lose your reservation and deposit. But don’t worry! We will send a friendly reminder as the date approaches. As long as your reservation is finalized, you should have access to your documents 45 days prior to your sailing.
I am a solo traveler. What is your Single Supplement?
Welcome aboard, solo explorers! We hope you make some new friends along the way. Single supplements will vary per voyage, so please ask your Travel Advisor for more information.
What is your cancellation policy?
We’re sad to see you go. But if you must cancel your expedition, the following fees will be assessed:

Guests who have paid in full and cancel their applicable voyage at least 15 days or more prior to the voyage date are eligible to receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit. For bookings not paid in full, standard cancellation penalties apply. Future cruise credits are transferable and applicable to any voyage departing within one year from the original cancelled voyage date. |
Will I be able to exchange currency onboard?
We do not offer currency exchange services onboard.
Special Requests & Accessibility
Will your ships be ADA compliant accommodations?
World Navigator will have two (2) ADA staterooms to accommodate guests with disabilities and offer them the utmost comfort.
Will Atlas Ocean Voyages be able to accommodate special dietary needs?
Our array of dining options aboard our ships allow us to offer cuisine for a variety of special dietary needs.
Will you allow service animals onboard?
To keep everyone aboard safe and comfortable, we cannot allow any kind of animals on our ships.
