Do the resorts offer gluten free meal options?

Club Med restaurants can accommodate (with a more limited choice) the most common food allergies, including gluten allergies. We invite you to ask to speak to the main chef or restaurant manager upon arrival in the Resort to discuss your food allergy or intolerance.

What are tips to prepare my stay?

Check the necessary formalities, travel documents, the validity date of your passport and/or residence permit, the spelling of your surname/first name. Contact your airline for customs formalities. What documents should I bring with my during my stay?

We kindly ask you to have your sales contract with you, that might be requested during your journey. Do not take any risk to be refused from a border crossing. A passport currently valid for each participant will be mandatory to travel. the customs formalities are communicated on the government website, and in any case, it is essential that the GMs inquire information to the consulate or the embassy of the destination country. Please check the validity of your identity papers depending on the requirements of the chosen destination. It is essential that the name given at the time of the booking is the exact same one as the one on your identity papers (i.e. wife and/or child) of the passport holder.

Is a visa required for some countries?

A visa is required for some destinations. To travel without hindrance, valid administrative documents are essential and additional formalities will have to be completed by the G.M® under their responsibility at their own expense. Under no circumstances does Club Med replace the individual responsibility of the G.M®, who must take charge of verifying and obtaining all formalities before departure (passport in principle still valid 6 months after the date of return from the trip, visa, Esta form to or in transit through the United States, health certificate, vaccines, etc.) and throughout the duration of the trip.

Does the name given at the time of booking need to be the same as the one indicated on my identity papers?

It is mandatory that the name given to the reservation be identical in every respect to that of the identity documents (i.e. wife and/or child)

What are the arrival times at the resort?

You will find below the details of the arrival / departure times according to your destination and the chosen formula: For stays in the sun: One week stay (main day of arrival, free dates), short stay and weekend: – Arrival: from 3pm – Room available in the afternoon – Room to be vacated at 11am – Departure from the Resort at 3pm For snow stays: One week stay, arrival on the main day of arrival: – Arrival: from 3pm – Room available: 5pm – Room to be vacated at 10am – Departure from the Resort at 5pm For snow stays: Stay on free dates, short stay and weekend: – Arrival: from 5pm – Room at disposal at 5pm – Room to be vacated at 10am – Departure from the Resort at 5pm However, other schedules may be communicated to you on your Vacation Appointment in the event of more favorable schedules for the chosen Resort. Are resorts adapted to accommodate people with reduced mobility?

Club Med does its utmost to ensure that everyone, regardless of their disability, can enjoy Club Med in an ideal way. However, we would like to point out that we cannot guarantee that you will have access, by your own means, to all the activities and infrastructure of the Resorts. Customers with a disability or reduced mobility requiring special attention, due to his or her physical, intellectual or age condition, is required to inform Club Med and, if applicable, the air carrier with which Club Med works, before booking and for transport at the latest 48 hours before departure.

Is a medical certificate required for certain activities?

Ahead of your departure, go to your doctor or local community service center to ensure that all your vaccinations are up to date according to your destination. Finally, a list of travel clinics is available on the website of the International Society of Travel Medicine: www.istm.org. Scuba diving: In accordance with the PADI procedures (adult and child) adopted by Club Med, you will be asked to complete a medical self-assessment questionnaire before diving. We recommend that you present it before you leave to your doctor who will help you complete it. A positive answer to a question on this form, which will be given to you by the dive centre, may call into question your ability. You should then consult a diving doctor on site who will ultimately determine, and without appeal, your diving ability. In addition, for any passage from a diploma higher than CMAS 1 star or equivalent, a medical certificate of no contraindication to scuba diving, issued less than one year ago by a doctor competent in underwater diving medicine (diving doctor or hyperbaric doctor or approved by a scuba diving federation) will be required. The documents required and the conditions determined above are also necessary for so-called non-Club Med diving, i.e. diving carried out by external service providers. Medical examinations are at your expense.

How much money is it better to plan having with me?

Bring a small amount of local currency, a credit card recognized abroad and traveler’s cheques. Do not keep everything in one place in case of loss of luggage. Money can be changed at the airport or at the Resort.

What is the voltage in resorts?

Most of our resorts are equipped with hair dryers in the rooms. If you bring electric razors, electric toothbrushes or other items, check their voltage or bring converters, depending on the countries visited. Most travel or electronics stores sell power converters or use dual-voltage or battery-powered devices.

What does Club Med’s all inclusive package include?

The Club Med “All-inclusive” package includes: – Transfers when your transportation is included in your stay – Accommodation, in the reserved room category. – Entertainment, sports and supervision for children and teenagers (depending on the Resort). – Catering and bars: meals, snacks, drinks (except champagnes, VSOP and XO alcohols, alcohol bottles, and some premium brands which are extra.). Are pets accepted?

Club Med is not able to accept pets in resorts, no matter what type of package was purchased. Guide dogs can be admitted under the conditions that they are accepted by the airline company during the journey and that no quanrantine will be imposed in the host country.

What is the pick your room service?

The “Pick your room” service is an optional service that allows you to choose your perfect room before your arrival in the Resort, through an interactive map. Go to your Customer Account to find all the details and conditions of the Pick Your Room service.

Is it mandatory to participate in the suggested activities?

In our Resorts, freedom and respect for each other take precedence over everything. You are therefore 100% free to participate or not in the various activities and animations organized by the G.Os.

What do the acronyms GO and GM mean?

It was in 1950, in the first Club Med Resort, in the Balearic Islands, that the term “G.O” was coined, an abbreviation of “Gentil Organizer”. A controlled designation of origin resulting from the imagination of holidaymakers who discovered Club Med for the first time. To get to our Resorts, Club Med offers you air travel, long and medium-haul flights, as well as train travel, depending on your destination. This transportation is offered as part of an offer that includes a stay in the Resort, a trip by plane or train and a return transfer to and from Club Med. Which airlines are partnering with club med?

The majority of flights to Mexico, the Caribbean and Florida are operated by American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Airlines. You can travel alone. However, to facilitate your access on board the plane, you can request assistance for people with reduced mobility up to 48 hours before your departure.

I use a wheelchair, will I pay any additional cost?

Can children travel alone?

Can I take my child’s stroller with me?

Yes, it is possible to take your 15cm*30cm*100cm cane folding stroller in the plane in cabin luggage if there is room. Any other model, including cane strollers if there is no cabin luggage space, can be checked in the hold. It then replaces the authorized baggage allowance.

Can I travel with bulky objects on the plane (windsurfing, cycling…)?

Each airline has its own rules regarding bulky items. Depending on the weight of the object, its value and size, and depending on the airline, you may have to pay an additional fee. Contact the airline directly before your departure to avoid any surprises when boarding.

Can I book a car when I get there?

If you wish, a car rental service is available in some Resorts or also in airports and train stations.

Are some activities not accessible to children?

Some activities are targeted for adults and their access is not adapted to unaccompanied children: weight training or spa treatments are examples. However, children can enjoy a multitude of activities under supervision (depending on the Resort, golf courses, children’s tennis, the teen spa, diving from the age of 8 with the PADI Bubble Maker…). Can children under 18 years old stay in the resort?

Club Med does not provide stays for minor children who are not accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.

What is the equipment for children available in the resort?

In all Resorts with or without supervision, small beds, high chairs and/or booster seats in the restaurant are available to parents. The Resorts with Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med supervision offer the loan of strollers as well as convenience items (toiletries, diapers, etc.) for sale at the Club Med Boutique. Diapers and baby milk are not provided as part of Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med. (extra charges may apply).

What documents are required for my children?

As of today, children – whether accompanied or not – can travel abroad with: a valid American passport, a valid visa and a letter of consent confirming that the child is authorized to travel abroad (required if travelling alone or accompanied by only one parent or any other family member); check with the embassy or consulate of the destination country to see if there are any other entry requirements to be met.

The liaison booklet

Children are under the responsibility of the G.O. within the limits of the opening hours of Baby Club Med*, Petit Club Med* or Mini Club Med, and provided that the parents or accompanying person have duly completed the attendance register made available to them, specifying imperatively beside their signature the time at which they entrust and pick up their child and the places where they can be reached. For Baby Club Med* and Petit Club Med*, this register also serves as a liaison booklet. Thus, parents or accompanying persons can take note of information relating to their child’s meals, diapers, sleep, etc. and, if necessary, share their comments or recommendations in this booklet. For the Mini Club Med, upon signing the register upon arrival, the G.O. assigns to the child from 4 to under 8 years of age a bracelet clearly indicating his or her attachment to the Mini Club Med.

Children’s supervision and equipment

G.O.’s who supervise childrens of Baby Club Med*, Petit Club Med* and Mini Club Med all have experience in supervising young children, depending on the age of the children to be supervised. Quality standards regulate the care of children under 6 years of age: in particular the respect of ratios of number of children per G.O. No derogation will be granted to receive a child over this quota. To ensure optimal safety for your children, one G.O. is never alone and is assisted by other G.O.’s when necessary, while strict standards and operating rules ensure optimal safety: – liaison booklet to make the link with the parents (report of the day, arrival and departure time of the child); – wearing a bracelet to identify children under the G.O care; – French and American standards for the equipment of children’s clubs (safety glass); – presence of a nurse in the Mini Club Med Resorts, a paediatrician in the Baby Club Med Resorts. – There is no nurse or doctor present at Club Med Sandpiper Bay.
