ITINERARY

Málaga, Spain
Your cruise begins in Málaga, one of the oldest cities in Europe and the gateway to the famous beaches and resorts of the Costa del Sol. Here you’ll be transferred to your luxury Emerald yacht to begin your journey through the Western Mediterranean.  Please book your flight to arrive into Malaga prior to 02:00 PM.

Almería, Spain
The seaside city of Almería has an enticing mix of relaxation and energetic culture. The vast beaches are popular for sailing, swimming, and sunbathing, and the palm-lined esplanade along the harbour is a lovely spot for a stroll. Almeria is renowned for its lively tapas culture – start your evening with tasty morsels and drinks at a local bar, then watch the dancefloors come alive as the night unfolds.

Cartagena, Spain
Cartagena, on the Mediterraneans Costa Cálida, was one of the most important naval ports in Spain until the 18th century. This port town on the southeastern corner of the Iberian Peninsula has been inhabited by several cultures that have left their mark on its heritage over more than 2,200 years. From its Roman Amphitheatre to the Torre Ciega, a monument to the ancient Roman necropolis, there is no shortage of sights to amaze you here.

Valencia, Spain
Celebrated for its juicy, sweet oranges, Valencia is also a hub of avant-garde architecture and design, particularly embodied by the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences. A symbol of the New Valencia, this complex is a striking example of modern architecture, with its fluid lines and reflective pools sitting in stark contrast to the traditional construction of the citys old town. Valencia is also the birthplace of paella, a flavourful mix of rice, seafood, vegetables and saffron that is regarded as Spain’s national dish.

Tarragona (Barcelona), Spain
Perched along Spain’s golden Costa Dorada, Tarragona is a captivating blend of ancient grandeur and relaxed Mediterranean charm. Once one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire in Iberia (then known as Tarraco), the city proudly showcases its extraordinary archaeological legacy, much of which is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site.

Collioure, France
Enter France’s Vermilion Coast, so named for the distinctive red rock that lines the shores. Collioure’s pastel houses and tranquil harbour have inspired artists for more than a century, with Matisse, Chagall, Picasso and many more drawn to paint its vibrant light and colours. It was also the birthplace of the bold Fauvism art movement. Sip a glass of the local Banyuls fortified wine at a seaside cafe, then wander through its charming lanes.

Cassis, France
Nestled between dramatic limestone cliffs and turquoise waters, Cassis offers breathtaking views of the Provençal Calanques. These breathtaking natural formations are made up of towering limestone cliffs and inlets of turquoise water, offering great hiking, climbing and kayaking. This chic fishing village is a popular getaway for people living in nearby Marseille, meaning the centre is packed with excellent bistros, bars and boutiques. Enjoy a tasting of the town’s celebrated white and rosé wines.

Saint-Tropez, France
The resort town of Saint-Tropez is one of the most famous holiday destinations in Europe and has been drawing celebrities, royals and the elite for more than 70 years. From the soft white sand edging blue water to the on-trend beach clubs, decadent dining and luxury boutiques, Saint-Tropez is the ultimate French Riviera experience. For history buffs, learn the story of Saint-Tropez at the Musée dHistoire Maritime, or peruse the incredible modern art inside a former chapel of the Musée de l’Annonciade.

Nice, France
Your time on board your Emerald luxury yacht comes to an end in Nice, the largest city on the French Riviera. After bidding farewell to the crew and your fellow guests, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to continue your travels.  Please book your flight to depart out of Nice after 12:00 PM. The itinerary is a guide only and may be amended for operational reasons. As such, Emerald Cruises cannot guarantee the cruise will be operated unaltered from the itinerary stated above.
