This tour offers a great opportunity to witness the Great Migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope—the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world. Notes:
The Great Migration is a natural event with herds typically in the Maasai Mara from August to early November. Movements and river crossings of migrating herds can be challenging to predict year to year. When possible, we’ll modify game viewing when advised of reported sightings. All game viewing is done at your own risk and requires a signed liability waiver prior to travel. Due to rough driving on/off road and in/between game parks, this vacation is not recommended for guests with serious back problems or mobility issues.

Day 1
NATURAL WONDERS Listen for a symphony of bird calls at the Shaba National Reserve. More than 400 recorded species including the vibrant vulturine guinea fowl and gray crowned crane reside in Shaba. Look low for the Kori bustard, the largest flying bird native to Africa

Day 2
SMALL GROUP EXCLUSIVE This evening, enjoy the legendary tradition of safaris with a memorable happy hour in the bush, complete with sunset views over the Ewaso Ng’iro River!

Day 3
SMALL GROUP EXCLUSIVE ACCOMMODATION A guest favorite, Sweetwaters Serena Camp is in the heart of the conservancy with magnificent views of Mount Kenya. NATURAL WONDERS “The Mara,” as it is called by locals, Maasai Mara National Reserve is part of the Serengeti ecosystem and boasts a strong permanent population of game. When the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra arrives, typically from August to early November, their population grows by almost 2 million, providing a bountiful food source for predators such as lions, cheetah, leopard, and hyena.
