Day 1 - Depart for Wisconsin
The fun begins with a boat excursion on Geneva Lake. Relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake and the elegant estates. There will be time to shop the quaint Wisconsin town of Lake Geneva before continuing north to Sturgeon Bay, located in the heart of Door County. Meal: D
Day 2 - Maritime Museum, Tugboat John Purves and The Farm
Begin the day at the Door County Maritime Museum. Located along the city’s busy working waterfront, the museum showcases the area’s rich maritime roots. Then, enjoy a 40-minute escorted tour aboard the Tugboat John Purves, an immaculately restored 1919 tugboat. Get the feel of daily life of their hard-working crew from her engine room, crew cabins and galley. Later, visit The Farm, a living museum of rural America. See this working farm from the live animals to the gardens and field crops. Meals: B, D
Day 3 - Green Bay Trains and River Cruise
Depart for Green Bay this morning and visit the National Railroad Museum to see the Dwight D. Eisenhower A4 Class locomotive. After, head to Appleton for lunch and then a cruise aboard the River Tyme Too riverboat for a narrated cruise along the scenic Fox River. Learn about the area’s history and environment while cruising around the dam and locks of Appleton. Meals: B, L
Day 4 - Exploring Door County
Today is filled with the charm of Door County. A local guide takes you to the quaint villages of Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Highlights include a visit to a winery, a farm market and scenic Peninsula State Park with its Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. Tonight, the Tour Manager hosts a Door County specialty, an authentic Fish Boil dinner that is as much fun to watch as it is to eat. After dinner, enjoy a musical performance at Northern Sky Theatre. Day 5 - Ten Chimneys and Home
Enjoy a full estate tour of Ten Chimneys. This legendary home of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne is their most enduring legacy. Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin, Ten Chimneys features the main house, the studio, the cottage and has hosted such celebrities as Noel Coward, Carol Channing and Katherine Hepburn.
