About The Port Of Orlando
Port Canaveral sits on Florida's Atlantic coast, best known as the departure point for deep-sea fishing charters and as the closest deep-water port to Kennedy Space Center. The center's exhibits trace the full arc of American space exploration, from towering rocket displays to genuine lunar samples and firsthand astronaut accounts, making it a natural focus for a day ashore.
Beyond the space coast, the port serves as a practical gateway to Orlando's theme parks, roughly an hour's drive inland. Closer to the pier, The Cove offers a walkable stretch of waterfront dining and entertainment for those who prefer to stay near the ship. With a mix of space history, sport fishing, and family attractions close at hand, Port Canaveral suits travelers with widely different interests, all without requiring a long transfer from the dock.
