One of my shore excursions is in Wait List status. When will I know if I am confirmed?

Please note that we are continually doing everything possible to clear wait lists for our guests, and if/when space becomes available, we clear the list in the order the wait list was received. Regretfully, we have to go through a process of requesting  additional space from our tour operators and this can take some time as they  may have to source additional equipment and guides at their end. The wait lists are currently run approximately once per week and at that time; we send our requests to the various operators for additional space. Each sail date can have different allotments  based on several factors, such as availability of guides, coaches, boats,  planes, time in port, etc. Nevertheless, if and when we are able to  confirm additional space, we will do so in as timely a manner as  possible.

How do I pre-book spa services?

For your convenience, you may reserve your spa treatment by calling Serene Spa & Wellness at 1.877.718.4244 beginning 60 days before your cruise. Guests under 16 are not permitted in the Spa or Fitness Center unless accompanied by an adult.

I am in suite 816 on Seven Seas Mariner. Why do my bag tags say deck 8F?

The F means Forward deck which helps in the loading of bags on the pier.

Is there a limit on baggage?

The amount of personal baggage allowed on our vessels is not limited, but airlines do have limitations so please check with your particular airline. The customary allowance per person is two checked pieces that must not exceed 107 inches (273 cm) when length, height and width measurements are combined. No single piece may exceed the three-dimensional sum of 62 inches (158 cm) and a weight of 70 lbs. (31.75 kg).

Learn more about celebrating your special occasion with Regent.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please advise Regent Seven Seas Cruises of any special dietary requirements you may have, including kosher meal requests, 120 days prior to sailing for voyages embarking in the US and 150 days for all other voyages, by sending an e-mail to specialrequests@rssc.com. General dietary needs such as low salt or low cholesterol foods can be satisfied onboard the ship just by speaking with the dining wait staff.

What is the dress code?

Attire ranges from Casual to Formal Optional. Casual wear consists of resort-style outfits; some examples are jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. Casual wear is appropriate for daytime both on board or ashore. Casual wear is not appropriate after 6:00 PM. On the night prior to disembarkation, guests may need to pack their luggage early due to morning flights the next day. With this in mind, on the last night of every voyage, we will relax the dress code for dinner to Casual.

Otherwise, the recommended onboard dress in the evenings is Elegant Casual. Dinner dress for ladies includes a skirt, or slacks with a blouse or sweater, a pant suit or dress; slacks and a collared shirt for gentlemen. Sport jackets are optional. Casual wear is not to be worn at dinner. Ties are not required.

On sailings of 16 nights or more, Formal and Semi-Formal attire is optional on two of the evenings. On the two Formal Optional evenings, guests are welcome to dress as per the elegant Casual dress code or opt for a more formal choice of clothing including gowns and cocktail dresses for ladies; tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with tie for gentlemen.

What is your policy on passports and visas?

As of January 1, 2016, U.S. passport holders will no longer be able to add additional visa pages to passports. Passport holders in need of additional pages will need to renew their passport prior to sailing. It is the policy of Regent Seven Seas Cruises to require passports for ALL travelers for all voyages, regardless of guests’ nationality and ports of call and countries visited. You must obtain and carry a valid passport to board a Regent Seven Seas Cruises vessel. Passport Cards or a copy of a passport are not accepted. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the conclusion of your cruise. Please obtain or renew your passports early. Consult your travel professional or customs authority for documentation requirements for your cruise.

NOTE: The U.S. State Department maintains up-to-date information on travel document requirements worldwide. For more information, please visit http://travel.state.gov.

For information on obtaining or renewing a passport, visit the State Department web site Passports page. Passport instructions and application forms can also be downloaded from the Visa Central website at www.visacentral.com/rssc.

Visa requirements must be verified and obtained approximately 90 days prior to sailing. Required visas by cruise may be found at www.visacentral.com/rssc.

Blanket visas through Regent Seven Seas Cruises cover only our shore excursions, not trips that passengers decide to do by themselves. It is the passenger’s responsibility to determine passport and visa requirements for their cruise itinerary. It is the guests’ responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of all required visas and travel documents prior to sailing.

What proper documentation is required for visiting Canada?

U.S. citizens are not required to obtain a Canadian Visa. To verify if your nationality requires a Canadian visa, please visit the following Canadian immigration website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp

Canadian officials will not permit guests to remain onboard while in a Canadian port without proper documentation, so you will be denied boarding if the visa is not presented at the pier at the time of your scheduled cruise departure. To learn more, please visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp. If you are a Non-U.S. or Non-Canadian citizen, you will be denied boarding without compensation if you do not hold the proper VISA documents.

Past Criminal Convictions
The Canadian Government is strictly enforcing entry requirements and as a result some U.S. and Canadian citizens with past criminal records or convictions may be refused entry into Canada. Almost all convictions including petty crimes and misdemeanors may render a person inadmissible to Canada, regardless of how long ago they occurred.  It is recommended that persons who have been charged in the past or who have past convictions, no matter how petty or small, obtain the necessary documents before attempting to enter Canada.

To learn more about applying for these documents we strongly recommend you visit the following website for details: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5312ETOC.asp

Regent Seven Seas Cruises does not have control over such matters. If guest is denied entry into Canada for whatever reason no refunds will be forthcoming.

When do I receive tickets and documentation?

After receipt of final payment and required guest registration, cruise documents will be sent to guests via email, and a welcome letter with luggage tags will be sent to guests by traditional mail, approximately 45 days prior to departure.  If you are on a Regent Seven Seas Cruises air/sea program, your flight itinerary will be issued wherever possible in the form of e-tickets.  Airlines have mandated that all travel agencies and cruise lines issue e-tickets on all e-ticket eligible itineraries.  If passengers require a paper ticket on an e-ticket eligible itinerary, airline fees will be assessed.

May I pre-purchase transfers for my disembarkation?

Return transfers may be purchased in advance or arranged onboard during your cruise and billed to your shipboard account.

When should I arrive at my embarkation port?

We strongly recommend arriving at your embarkation port at least 1 night before your cruise departure, regardless of the port. This allows extra time for any flight or travel delays and ensures you are fully prepared to board your ship on time.

For Alaska Voyages, it’s particularly important to arrive a day early. Due to the Jones Act (Merchant Marine Act of 1920), guests are prohibited from joining the ship mid-cruise if embarking from Vancouver, Canada. Additionally, the remote nature of Alaska’s ports makes it very challenging to catch up with the ship mid-cruise if you miss embarkation in Seward, Alaska. To avoid any complications, arriving at least 1 day prior to your departure date is highly advised.

When is embarkation and disembarkation?

Guests embarkation time vary by suites and Seven Seas Society status. Please see below for a full breakdown. Guests sailing from a U.S. port must embark the ship no later than two hours prior to sailing time. This is mandatory in order to meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements. All other sailings require guests to embark no later than an hour and 30 minutes prior to sailing time. For disembarkation, guests should plan on vacating their suites shortly after the scheduled arrival time into port. Cruise-only guests should not schedule flights prior to four hours after disembarkation.

Beginning with the following voyages early boarding will be available to guests in the below suites and/or have the below Seven Seas Society status.

Category or Seven Seas Society Status Embark Time Suite Available
Regent Suites, Master Suites, and Grand Suites 12:00 PM 12:00 PM
Navigator Suites, Mariner Suites, Voyager Suites, Seven Seas Suites, Horizon Suites, and Titanium Seven Seas Society Members 12:00 PM 1:00 PM
Remaining Suites 12:00 PM 2:30 PM

Will we need to go through Customs?

Upon returning to the United States, all baggage is subject to inspection by U.S. Customs Service.  Guests originating or terminating their cruise in a foreign port may also be subject to inspection by local customs officials.  Residents of the United States are allowed a duty-free exemption of $800 per person and those over the age of 21 may include one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes in their exempted purchases.

What should I do before calling the Air Concierge Department?

Before calling our Air Concierge Department, we recommend the following steps to allow you to finalize your air arrangements in one call.

  • Booking is deposited.
  • Guest Information Form (GIF) is completed.
  • Check flight availability using your preferred online flight finder.
  • Note any options that are your preferred schedule and routing – including the pricing you would pay independently for each of your chosen flights.
  • It helps to be flexible – can you travel an extra day or two prior or stay a day or two later?

How do I arrange air through Regent Seven Seas Cruises?

  • Air transportation is based on your chosen class of service on scheduled or charter services of IATA, U.S. or international air carriers. Designated air departure or return cities are at the discretion of Regent Seven Seas Cruises and are subject to change without notice. Regent Seven Seas Cruises reserves the right to choose the air carrier, routing and scheduling to and from each city and the right to substitute charter flights for scheduled air and vice versa. Service is subject to availability.
  • For International destinations, Business Class Air applies to Intercontinental flights only.

PRE-FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS

Due to recent airline policy changes, all classes of service, including Business Class, may no longer include luggage, seat assignments and lounge access. To confirm special requests including service amenities by airline, please check with your specific airline(s) for their respective cost and policy. Wheelchair, oxygen, and meal requests should be made directly with the airline. When booking air arrangements through Regent Seven Seas Cruises (or its travel partners’), some airline carriers will not honor mileage credits for flights booked through non-direct channels. It is the responsibility of the Guest(s) to view their preferred airline’s terms and conditions.

How do I make changes to my air booking?

Airline tickets issued by Regent Seven Seas Cruises are restricted by contract and may not be reissued or exchanged for another air carrier or routing. In addition, the airline tickets are non-transferable to another guest. Cancellation or rebooking charges may be assessed by the airline for any changes which are the sole responsibility of the guest. All air reservations booked through Regent, custom or otherwise, that are within 1 year of departure, will require a $500 administrative fee for each change to a passenger name.

How do I select seats on my air booking?

Advance seat selection is subject to the policy of the participating air carrier and may not be available. The service and responsibility of the air carrier used in conjunction with any Regent Seven Seas Cruises cruise program is subject to and limited by the “Contact of Carriage” as specified by the air carrier for each ticket issued.

What is your checked luggage policy?

As a result of escalating fuel prices, airlines are implementing changes to their Luggage Policy. These policies vary from airline to airline. Fees for checked luggage are now common with most airlines. These charges are in addition to the airlines’ weight restrictions and fees. Luggage fees are payable at the ticket counter at the time of check in. Please check with your specific airline(s) for their respective Luggage Policy.

May I choose specific airlines, flights and times?

  • Yes, you can contact the Air Concierge Desk to request to customize your air at 210 days from sailing.
  • To speak directly to our Air Concierges a $75 non-refundable Custom Air call service fee will be applied to reservations which, if the Custom Air flight option presented is accepted within three days, will become part of the existing $175 per person air customization fee.
  • If guests choose not to accept the Custom Air flight option presented within 3 days, the option will be automatically cancelled, and the $75 fee will not be refunded. To accept the presented Custom Air flight options, you can simply reply to the Custom Air email. It is not required to call Regent to confirm any Custom Air flight options.
  • After the Custom Air flight option expires, to search for additional flight options an additional $75 non-refundable fee will be added to the reservation.
  • Availability is not guaranteed inside of 90 days.
  • Platinum, Titanium, Diamond, and Commodore guests will continue to receive a complimentary one-time Custom Air deviation, including the waiving of one $75 Custom Air call service fee.

Please note, schedule changes made by the airlines are outside of our control. If there is a significant change in schedule, our Air Concierge will find a better alternative without charging a new custom air fee.

Can coach air be upgraded using frequent flyer mileage?

  • Regent Seven Seas Cruises uses contracted fares and does not redeem airline accrued frequent flyer mileage for Air/Sea upgrades.
  • The possibility of such redemption is at the sole discretion of the airlines and must be handled directly with the participating carrier.

Can I be confirmed on the same flights as my friends and family, and will there be a fee charged to do so?

  • At the time of booking, please ask your Travel Agent or Reservation Agent to request and cross-reference your booking with your friends and family. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will do everything possible to confirm your flights together.
  • For this request to be guaranteed, you may book your flights through Regent Seven Seas Custom Air Department within 210 days of sailing. Your flights will be confirmed upon request for a non-refundable $175 per person custom air arrangement fee plus a possible fare differential. Deposit must be provided and Guest Information Form (GIF) completed before air is confirmed.

When will I receive my air schedule?

  • Air schedules are sent out 110 days prior to embarkation.
  • Should you require immediate confirmation, you may book your flights through Regent Seven Seas Concierge at any time, after 210 days prior to sailing. For a small fee, your flights will be confirmed upon your request. Deposit must be provided, and Guest Information Form (GIF) completed before air is confirmed.

The menu selection includes an assortment of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes, with appetizers, soups, side dishes and desserts to choose from, each presented in plastic containers and double wrapped. Additionally, all bread is Pas Yisroel and all dairy products are Cholov Yisroel.

For those guests who are not strictly kosher and would like our chefs to prepare their meals, we have limited quantities of kosher proteins such as veal rack, ribeye steak, lamb rack, turkey breast, whole chicken, and fresh or frozen fish available on board. Please note that the preparation of these proteins will not be according to the rules of kashrut.

We are pleased to serve guests kosher meals, both prepackaged and fresh, exclusively in our elegant Compass Rose restaurant. Once on board, please contact the maître d’ of Compass Rose to make dining arrangements.

However, we understand the importance of providing dietary options for our guests and have made sure to provision more kosher proteins for these voyages. It’s important to reiterate that while the protein is kosher, our onboard preparation and galley environments are not. Please note that once our ships leave Europe and return to the US, we will resume offering pre-packaged frozen kosher meals.
