Shiela booked the trip, However, Melissa is my regular travel agent, but she was out of town. I gave out several Pavlus referral cards and asked those who were interested when was the last time their travel company sent them a 'thank you' check?! My vacation was fun. Lots of entertainment. NCL did a great service job from the room steward to restaurant personnel. I completed at least 8 "Vacation Hero" cards that the ship provided to compliment many employees. Cruise Critic held a Meet and Mingle and all the officers attended. I was in a solo studio for the first time. Thought it was fine and liked the 'window' Smart TV that showed the outside view. The Solo Lounge staff was wonderful. Last night he provided champagne for the group. However, I don't like the mega ships-- prefer mid-size (Oceania). However, since I am partially disabled I was guided to the section where wheelchair passengers were embarked, which was very efficient and appreciated. I was also surprised to see that my luggage was not delivered to my cabin. It was sitting outside the door where it was unloaded. Fortunately, a passenger rolled it a very long way to my cabin. The employee handling the luggage looked exhausted. I noticed on a sea day another room steward was still working at 5 pm and also looked exhausted. The ship was 'over capacity' with 800 passengers. There were complaints from others regarding service. There was also a very long line for taxi service in Victoria. Found out there was a new policy that the taxis need a permit they must pay for( $400 approx) to gain entry to the port. Made our group of 4 wait over 45 minutes to get a taxi and to reach Burtchart Gardens which meant we were an hour late for the High Tea reservation. Therefore, we missed it entirely. Have worked with Shelby for years and understandably needed to be transferred to a new Pavlus agent when Shelby assumed new responsibilities. I enjoyed my initial contact with Sheila when she was assigned to our account and she was extremely helpful in resolving our Silversea Blacklane airport transfer issue with Michael in Denver. She also took care of scheduling our return home transfer that’ll occur this Friday which was very nice of her. Thank you!
