Day 1 - Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive in Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to your accommodations. Kenya is one of the most exciting and exotic destinations in the world, offering dramatic wildlife spectacles, breathtaking natural beauty and warm hospitality.
Day 2 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Following breakfast, fly to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you are met on arrival and transferred to your luxurious tented camp situated in the heart of this private, not-for-profit reserve. For the next three days, take in everything the conservancy’s rolling plains, acacia forests, swamps and rivers have to offer, with game drives, guided walks and views from your private deck.
Day 3 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Today, explore Ol Pejeta, which offers unrivalled game viewing on the Laikipia plains backdropped by stunning Mount Kenya. Set out on morning and afternoon game drives for the opportunity to view the region’s diverse wild denizens, including black and white rhinos, lions, elephants, cheetahs and an astounding variety of plains game. You may also spot the rare African wild dog, recently reestablished in the Laikipia after a long absence. In the evening, enjoy the option to set out on a thrilling night game drive, when elusive nocturnal species are most active. View some of the more than 400 species of birds living here on a bird-watching walk. For an additional cost you may also mount up for a horseback ride or glide by boat through the reserve’s chimpanzee sanctuary.
Day 4 - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Revel in another full day of explorations in Ol Pejeta. With 90,000 acres of wilderness set on the equator, the conservancy is home to Kenya’s largest population of black rhino as well as a number of the rarer Northern species such as Grevy's zebras, Jackson’s hartebeests and beisa oryx. One day here, on a morning game drive, enjoy the option, to visit the world’s last northern white rhinos up close in their heavily guarded enclosure for an additional fee.
Day 5 - Masai Mara
Fly to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and on to your intimate, award-winning luxury camp.
Prepare to discover a vast expanse of open plains, woodlands and tree-lined rivers. Running along the Tanzanian border, the Mara forms an essential part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Later this afternoon, embark on your first game drive, and then return to camp to share stories of your day’s experiences over a delicious al fresco dinner.
Day 6 - Masai Mara
Today, begin your inspiring exploration of the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game viewing. The Mara’s 583 square miles of open savanna, woodlands and tree-lined rivers create an ecosystem that supports huge numbers of bird and mammal species.
Day 7 - Masai Mara
Continue your search for abundant wildlife in the Masai Mara, perhaps visiting the spectacular Siria Escarpment near the western border of the park, which, together with the acacia-dotted plains, creates scenery of stunning beauty. See lions lazing in the sunshine; topi standing sentry on termite mounds; and graceful giraffes. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly sighted, and you may even spot rhinos. In addition to the wildlife, you may see members of the pastoral Maasai tribe near the borders of the park, such as morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day.
Day 8 - Depart Nairobi
Today, bid kwaheri (goodbye) to your camp staff and fly back to Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to your hotel for an afternoon relaxing at leisure in a reserved dayroom. Later, transfer to the airport to board your departing flight.
