Brave the Grade IV rapids of the Rogue River on this outdoor adventure. On your way downriver, go behind the scenes at Wildlife Images, a rehabilitation center for wounded or abandoned animals. Stop to take a swim, hike a scenic or historic route, or watch the abundant wildlife along the river: the water is alive with salmon and steelhead, and eagle and other predators are never far away.

ITINERARY

Day 1
Go behind the scenes at Wildlife Images, a wildlife center that prepares rehabilitated animals - including bear, wolf, mountain lion and eagle - for release into the wild. Begin your rafting adventure at Grave Creek Rapids and Grave Creek Falls. Keep your eyes open for salmon and steelhead leaping at Rainie Falls and bald eagle soaring overhead. Sleep soundly under the stars.

Day 2
Raft some more rapids on the famous Rogue River and participate in activities that include short hikes to historic sites such as adventure novelist Zane Grey's wilderness cabin, quick plunges into crystal-clear swimming holes, wildlife viewing and a riverside lunch. There is time this afternoon to relax, hike or learn about the Rogue River Canyon.

Day 3
Explore the Native American and pioneer history of the Rogue Canyon at the historic Rogue River Ranch. Then, soar the rapids at Mule Creek Canyon and Blossom Bar. Inflatable kayaks provide an unforgettable experience for the more adventurous. Spend the night at the remotely located Half Moon Bar Lodge.

Day 4
After a leisurely morning, the intensity increases with more exciting rapids to end your trip on the river. Additional opportunities for adventure include hikes at Tate Creek or a quick and refreshing swim at the base of the falls at Flora Dell. Reach the take-out point by early afternoon and return to the Morrison's Rogue River Lodge via a scenic drive through the Siskiyou Mountains.

Day 5
Transfer to the airport in Medford for your homebound flight.
