ITINERARY

Leith (Edinburgh)
Welcome to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Spread out under the gaze of its ancient castle, the city is an inspiring blend of history, culture and nature. It’s said to have more pubs per capita than anywhere else in the UK, so take some time to join the locals for a pint.  Transfer to Leith where you’ll board your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse. Meet the Captain, crew and the Discovery Team, and settle into your spacious suite. Join your fellow guests at the Sky Bar for a glass of Champagne before setting sail. Please book your flight to arrive into Edinburgh prior to 02:00 PM.

At Sea
After a restorative night in your ultra-luxury suite, wake to your own timetable. Ask your butler to bring you breakfast in your suite for a relaxing start to the day.  Then take some time to explore your Discovery Yacht. Visit the Sky Bar and outdoor Vitality pool on Deck 10 or take advantage of the Captain’s open bridge policy and observe your Discovery Yacht in operation.  Be sure to check the daily program to see what lectures or discussions the Discovery Team are running and learn more about upcoming ports, wildlife and activities on offer. 

Skagen, Denmark
Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost town. It’s renowned for its captivating light, which has inspired many Scandinavian painters and became an artist colony at the end of the 19th century. Immerse yourself in the rich artistic heritage of this charming coastal town, where the beauty of nature meets the creativity of human expression. Explore the Skagens Museum, home to the worlds largest collection of Skagen painters, including masterpieces by P.S. Krøyer and Anna Archer.   

Copenhagen, Denmark
One of Scandinavia’s brightest jewels, Copenhagen is a city full of exceptional architecture, art, history and food. The Danish capital embraces conscious and sustainable living and is one of the world’s best cities to explore by bike.   Your late-night departure allows you to see the Tivoli Gardens transformed into a wonderland of lights. One of the oldest theme parks in the world, it was founded in 1843. Enjoy from nostalgic experiences to thrill seeker rides, including a wooden rollercoaster from 1914. 

Gothenburg, Sweden
Start your morning enjoying the sail through the scenic Kattegat Sea, where charming villages, rocky islets, and lush shores unfold. Spot seabirds, seals, and historic lighthouses. As Gothenburg nears, be captivated by Swedens stunning archipelago of picturesque islands and rugged cliffs.  Gothenburg, Sweden’s vibrant ‘second city,’ its a blend of maritime heritage and modern charm. Explore canals, historic architecture, the Haga district’s wooden houses, and the famed Feskekôrka fish market. Don’t miss the Maritime Museum or Michelin-starred dining. 

Fjällbacka, Sweden
Indulge in a truly unforgettable morning with a scenic cruise through the stunning Fjällbacka archipelago. Ask your butler to deliver a delicious breakfast to your suite and savor every moment as you glide through this captivating coastal paradise, surrounded by breathtaking beauty.  The town of Fjällbacka is nestled in the breathtaking Swedish archipelago between Gothenburg and the Norwegian border. This coastal haven, with its rocky isles, picturesque fishing villages and stunning granite shoreline offers much to explore. Oslo, Norway
Wake this morning in Oslo, Norway’s compact and cultured capital city. Flanked by the mountains and the sea, it’s home to striking landmarks like the Royal Palace and Oslo Opera House. Discover the citys rich maritime history at the Norwegian Maritime Museum, learn about its proud tradition of international peacemaking at the Nobel Peace Centre and marvel at the stunning works of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch in the Munch Museum.    This evening, Your Discovery Yacht will depart via Oslofjord, a serene waterway that connects Oslo to the ocean. Stand on your private verandah to admire the picturesque views. 

Mamdal, Norway
Before reaching Mandal, Norway’s southernmost town, start your day with an energising workout in the gym or a rejuvenating session in the PURE: Yoga & Pilates Studio.   Known for inspiring both famous and undiscovered artists, Mandal boasts a unique vibrancy and rich history. Wander through its charming cobblestone streets, where local life thrives in specialty shops, cafés, and bakeries. Scenic cruising Lysefjord > Stavanger, Norway
After a restorative night in your ultra-luxury suite, wake at your leisure. Enjoy breakfast in bed or join fellow guests in the Yacht Club to admire the stunning views of Lysefjord’s dramatic cliffs and clear waters.   Check your daily program for onboard activities, lectures or join the Captain on the bridge as we sail through this extraordinary fjord.  The open bridge policy provides an opportunity to learn about the technical abilities of your Discovery Yacht while enjoying one of the ship’s best viewing areas. Stavanger is renowned for its spectacular fjords; towering cliff faces and long white sandy beaches. 

Stavanger, Norway
Nestled on Norways southwestern coast, the ancient city of Stavanger boasts a rich Viking heritage. Dating back to the 9th century, it’s often referred to as the ‘Cradle of the Vikings’. Stavanger is easy to explore on foot – stroll past the well-preserved white wooden houses of the old town and along Øvre Holmegate, known as the ‘street of colours’. Learn more about the citys fascinating past and seafaring legacy at the Stavanger Maritime Museum, housed in a historic wharf side warehouse. Stavanger is also renowned for its culinary scene, with a bustling fish market offering fresh seafood delights.   

Bergen, Norway
Your unforgettable journey finishes today in Bergen. Savour one last luxurious breakfast on board your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht before saying farewell to the crew and new friends who have shared this journey with you. You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey or return flight home, taking with you memories that will last a lifetime.   Please book your flight to depart out of Bergen after 12:00 PM. #Spa treatments at additional cost. +All drinks on board, including those stocked in your mini bar, are included, except for a very small number of rare, fine and vintage wines, Champagnes and spirits.  Specialty restaurants require a reservation, enquire on board. ^Flights on board our two helicopters and submersible experiences are at additional cost, subject to regulatory approval, availability, weight restrictions, medical approval and weather conditions.  Submersible not operational in Europe.  The itinerary is a guide only and may be amended for operational reasons.
